Tara tried to pull her hand away a few times but couldn't. Soren still refused to let go.
Her fair, smooth skin now glowed with a warm pink hue from his rubbing. The effect was undeniably suggestive.
She thought about stomping on his foot, but Soren caught on. Instead of dodging, he even moved his foot closer to her.
His eyes had a mischievous glint in them as he tilted his head slightly, silently daring her to stomp.
Tara was speechless—furious. Why was he always like this?
She quickly shot him a glare when no one was looking.
Soren chuckled. "Tara, why are your face and ears so red?"
He purposely raised his voice. It was as if he couldn't wait to announce to the world that Tara Thayer was his girlfriend.
Tara was already flushed, and now her face felt like it was on fire.
"Mr. Farrell, could you please not bother me while I work? Thanks," she said hurriedly.
She yanked her hand free. Surprisingly, he let her go.
She buried her head in her work and never met his eyes again.
Tomorrow was the day they were flying back home. She had been counting down the days.
Soren didn't want to actually make her mad, so he just smiled and gave her a once-over before shoving his hands into his pockets and casually walking out of the dining area.
There would be plenty of time to get close to her later. There was no need to rush it now.
After he left, Peggy noticed Tara seemed a little off and figured Soren had gotten under her skin.
