Yvonne said, “We traced it. Even though the car had fake plates and switched routes several times, we still managed to find its final location. I’ll send it to you. Get here quickly. I’m heading there with my men first.”

Baron sprinted out.

“Westin, bring the men. Move!”

Westin immediately understood – there was finally a lead on Natalie.

Baron followed the coordinates Yvonne had sent, arriving at a warehouse on the outskirts of

town.

Yvonne’s face was grim.

“We were a step too late. Everyone’s gone. But we managed to catch one of them on the road. He had poison hidden under his teeth – if we hadn’t broken his jaw in time, we’d have no living witness.”

Hearing that, Baron’s face darkened further.

“Where is he?”

“In the back.”

Baron shrugged off his coat and tossed it to Westin before striding into the warehouse.

The captive was clearly a mercenary.

All of Baron’s fear and rage needed an outlet.

Without a word, he drove his fist into the man’s gut.

Bound tightly, the mercenary couldn’t fight back. He could only endure as Baron turned him into a punching bag.

“He’d deserve it even if he did,” Yvonne muttered through clenched teeth. “I heard they injected Natalie with something. Nobody knows what it was. Now they’ve run, and who knows what’s happening to her?”

Her words weren’t loud, but in the still warehouse they carried straight to Baron’s ears.

His fist froze midair.

“What did you just say?”

He whirled around, eyes blazing red like a beast provoked beyond control.

Yvonne swallowed hard. “That’s what I heard. They injected her with something, and she passed out. Then they sent her away. But they didn’t know where she was taken.”

Baron’s dread and fury spiked.

“Talk! What did you inject my wife with?”

He yanked the mercenary up by his collar.

The man’s whole body ached under Baron’s blows. Each strike had been merciless, calculated to leave no visible marks yet inflict excruciating pain.

Now, seeing the killing intent in Baron’s eyes, the mercenary cracked. “I don’t know! I’m just a grunt. I follow orders. I don’t ask questions I’m not supposed to.”

“Orders? From who? Get in touch with your superiors!”
