“Ms. Langston, Mrs. Amanda sent us to pick you up.”

Alaric looked at the departing cars, a little worried. “I don’t know. She’s not answering my calls.”

Evelina’s eyes were filled with doubt. “But I haven't heard of Lemira knowing anyone powerful. Could it be Mrs. Amanda?”
