Just when I was beginning to think that things would finally go back to normal, something like this happens and just pisses me the hell off.

I lose control when Nikki is around that man and I don’t care what the reason could be. The fact that he once touched her and knows how she feels bothers me even more now than it did before.

I’m fucking territorial. What can I say?

I glance at Nikki. She’s not even looking at me and that’s how I know she’s really mad. I made a fool of myself-l’ll admit that.

And it’s funny because I’m in no position whatsoever to feel this way when I was literally in a meeting with the woman I impregnated. When 1 I saw Nikki on my way out of the elevator, cold panic washed over me and all I could think was…this is it.

We reach the penthouse and Nikki walks ahead of me the entire time.

In the elevator, she stands as far away from me as she possibly can, and I’ve never felt guiltier for what I’ve done.

She ignores me.

We get off on my floor, and she heads straight to the front door. Whenshe opens it and storms inside, she says without looking at me, “You’ve wasted your time in bringing me here. I don’t want to talk to you and ! wish you would respect that, Roman, since you can’t respect anything else about me!”

I start toward her. “Nikki, I know I went overboard-”

“Overboard? Your attitude was disgusting and you offended me! What, do you think that Sebastian and I went there to fuck? Is that it?”

Her question makes me see red. That question should never be spoken of ever again. “Nikki. don’t say that.”

“That’s what you think, isn’t it?” she continues angrily. “You don’t trust me at all! You think 1 go around the city, spreading my legs and letting anyone inside of me! That’s why you had people following me around, right? Well? Answer me!”

“That’s enough, Nikki. I don’t think that way about you!”

“I’m done with this!” she lets out. “I don’t care anymore! Think whatever you want!”

She starts toward the door but there’s no chance in hell that I would let her walk out of here. I grab her arm and she swings, trying to land a punch. I stare back at her, amused. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her look this angry before. “Nikki-”

Again, she tries to punch me, and the result is that I have both her wrists in my hands and I push her against the wall with my body to trap her. Nikki turns her head from side to side angrily before yelling at me. “Stop touching me!”

“Stop trying to leave. I won’t let you do that!”

“You don’t have a say in what I do!”

“Yes, I do, actually,” I say against her skin. My head drops to her shoulder and l inhale her sexy scent. The fact that Sebastian got a whiff of her perfume today drives me mad, but I won’t throw this at her, not after how bad things have gotten just now.”No.”
