Wild Nights With My Brother’s Ex-Best Friend novel Chapter 94

NICOLE

In the car, there’s a man on either side of me, and Garith is in the passenger’s seat.

I have nowhere to run.

I’m shivering and I’m not sure if it’s because of the air conditioning in the car or because of the fact that I’m in just my underwear in a car with four men, one of whom has made it explicitly clear that he wants a ‘taste’ of me.

This has to be the tensest, most fearful moment of my entire existence. I can’t remember anything being this

– horrible. My heart’s slamming against my ribs mercilessly and my breaths are shallow from all the anxiety and fear I’m experiencing.

God, where’s Roman?

How far is this going to go?

What will he do to me?

Tears make my vision blurry and then they roll down my face, burning like acid. Garith’s phone starts ringing, and he answers it with a casualness that makes me sick to my stomach.

“Hello, Angus,” he says. In the same moment, I start screaming for help loudly, hoping that whoever is on the other end of the line is a better person than Garith Lowett.I don’t make noise for long because the men on either side of me end up putting their filthy paws on me and Sitencing me. Garith doesn’t even turn to fix me with a warning look or anything.

“Oh, that? Don’t worry. Just a girl who knows how to have fun.” He chuckles after this atrocity he has just uttered, and finally cuts me with a look, though it’s more flirtatious than it is threatening. Oh my God. What have t gotten myself into? “You’re coming, right? Yeah, we’re heading to Lakeside House. Sure, you’re welcome to join. I guarantee you the snack I have is unforgettable.”

Once the call ends, the hand covering my mouth drops and I spit at Garith, “You’re disgusting!”

I fling all sorts of insults at him, promising him that he can’t get away with this, and he doesn’t say a thing back to me. In fact, he looks like he’s enjoying my reaction.

It takes around forty-five minutes to reach this place, and I become even more horrified when I notice that this house has no neighbors. It’s totally isolated and surrounded by a thick forest, right up in the mountains.

Nobody would hear me scream.

The car is parked right in front of the house, and the men on either side of me waste no time in pulling me out of the car and carrying me inside. They turn the lights on in the parlor, with its marble floors and enormous chandelier, and then they proceed to carry me into a sitting area with expensive-looking furniture.I’m dropped on the couch, and then my hands and feet are bound with zip ties. I’m lying on my side on the couch, and I can’t move.

Garith strides into the room confidently, letting out a small satisfied sigh. “Thank you, gentlemen. You may wait outside for us.”

Once we’re alone, he heads toward a cabinet with many glass bottles of liquor and pours himself a whiskey. “Want something, Nicole?”

God. What I wouldn’t do to spit on his face right now.

“No?” He smiles. “Well, it would take the edge off. You’re in for a long night, after all.”
