Chapter 1726
When Luna came out of the hospital, Charlotte was still waiting in the car.
Luna let out an exhale as she opened the door and got into the passenger seat. “Where are we going now?”
“Back to your place so you can pack your bags,” Charlotte replied impassively as she typed on her laptop. “Since you’re now the new CEO of Landry Group, you shouldn’t be staying in a house on the outskirts of the city anymore.”
Luna fell silent for a moment, then nodded in agreement.
Charlotte was right. From this day onward, she would have plenty of things to take care of for Landry Group, and it would be inconvenient to continue staying outside the city.
However, to Luna’s surprise, when she reached her house, a few excavators were parked outside the gate, along with groups of construction workers.
Luna stared at these gigantic machines and the workers, frowning. “What is…”
“Now that you have acquired a new and nobler status, you left too many traces of you living here in the past,” Charlotte explained curtly. “Therefore, we have to destroy this place to prevent any trouble from occurring after you move out of here.”
Luna’s entire body stiffened.
She had been living here for almost a year, and this place bore plenty of memories for her.
Not only that but her and Joshua’s child had been born here, too.
Why did they have to destroy this house just because she was going to move out?
Luna bit her lip. “We don’t have to go to such lengths, do we? Can’t we just empty this place and clean it up after I leave?”
“Absolutely not.” Charlotte’s voice was stern and hard as she said, “All the decorations, furnishing, and even the lawn was catered to your preferences and taste, so it’d be easy for someone to catch onto your habits and behavioral patterns if they were to study this house.”
Luna furrowed her brows, still unable to understand Charlotte’s decision. She fell silent for a moment, then tried to explain, “But this house is perfectly intact… And on top of that, it carries a lot of good memories I’d like to hold onto…” 1
Charlotte lifted her head to stare at Luna when she heard this. She fixated her penetrating gaze
on Luna’s face. “‘What kind of memories? Memories of vou and Joshua? Or the fear and anxiety
Luna could clearly see from the rearview mirror that the house she had lived in for almost a year had been demolished.
She closed her eyes as a twinge of pain shot through her heart.
She felt as though the same house she had built inside her heart to house her feelings for Joshua had been demolished as well.
Lynch Mansion.
Theo watched the news on the television quietly.
The news said that after being acquitted, Luna had made up her mind to focus on running Landry Group and thus had demolished the house she had been living in and instead moved into Landry Mansion. This was to prove her determination never to leave the Landry family ever again.
“I can’t believe Luna would destroy that house.” Theo let out a sigh and turned to glance at Joshua, who was doing some work on the sofa. “I guess she’s made up her mind to fight with you till the end.”
Joshua’s hands, which were typing on his keyboard, stiffened when he heard this. A split second later, he let out a chuckle. “But I don’t feel like fighting with her anymore.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
