At nine o’clock in the morning, Feng Zhen had finished all the check-ups, and they only needed to wait for the result. Feng He had taken two days of leave and was currently helping his wife pack the empty lunch boxes.

Just after he finished packing up everything, he heard a knock on the door. Thinking that it was his eldest son, he said, "Come in."

When the door was opened, he saw a staff member wearing a military uniform. Noticing the emblem on the collar, Feng He stood up and asked, "Comrade, who are you looking for?"

The staff member smiled and said, "The Commander invited you to his office. Comrade Feng, please come with me."

As soon as they heard this, Feng He, Jiang Li, and Feng Zhen exchanged glances.

Jiang Li quickly pulled her husband to the window and asked in a low voice, "Husband, why did the Commander suddenly ask to see you? You only worked for a few days as an accountant. Did the account have a problem?"

They entered the office and stood a few meters from the large desk. The staff member saluted Xun Che and reported, "Commander, I have brought Comrade Feng."

Xun Che nodded and said, "You can leave now."

The staff member gave him another salute and left the office.

After he signed a document, Xun Che finally looked up and stood up. Reaching out his hand, he said, "Uncle Feng, I have heard a lot about you. It’s a pleasure to meet you."

Feng He was no longer the aloof CEO and had experienced hardship in the apocalypse. Seeing the warm gesture of the base Commander, he was flattered.

He shook hands with Xun Che while replying, "It’s an honor to meet you, Commander."
