Maybelline and David Willard arrived home later that night after refusing to spend the night at the Adkins estate with the madman there.

She was glad she had settled her difference with Penny and her father even if Abby’s apology wasn’t accepted by Penny at all. But their plans of killing the madman would still be effective as long as she’s given a chance.

The things her Ariana made her do. May believed if she kept this act longer, Penny would release her child for her soon.

Once their plan of killing the madman finally comes together, they would deal with Penelope so bad she would not believe anything.

"Ugh, what a long day." May said as they walked towards the mansion.

"Welcome back madam." The butler hurried out of the mansion to welcome his madam and master. David who rarely spoke, didn’t bother answering the old man. He had received more than enough humiliation and embarrassment today because of his wife and child.

It’s not like they got their daughter back. He had no idea how long he’d have to keep up with all of these shenanigans. He was tired of acting like some slave. Ariana deserves to be punished for whatever she did to Penelope.

"I hope you learnt your lesson this time. And when Ariana finally comes back, keep her away from the Adkins and Penelope. We have no business with those people." May eyed the man next to her stylishly.

"What’s with that attitude?" She rolled her eyes.

"You’re not the only one affected David. And I never asked Ariana to hurt anyone this time. How are we so sure Penny isn’t lying?" She immediately turned so defensive.

"Why would she lie? There were pictures and video evidence. If you and your daughter don’t stop this madness, I’ll have no choice but to disown you two." David pushed through his butler and stepped inside the mansion.

"How embarrassing." May murmured with a frown staring at his figure walk away. "You don’t have to be so uptight." Her mumbling didn’t stop.

He was so mad already, then what would happen when he finds out she had another dangerous plan for the madman? May thought.

"How did your dinner go madam?" Her eyes shifted to the butler whose hands were stretched to receive her purse.

"How else?" May asked grumpily.

"I... I have good news for you madam." The old man announced trying to lighten the mood.

"What news is better than my daughter being at home?" May asked. "If it isn’t about my daughter then keep it to yourself."

"Miss Ariana is back madam." May paused to stare at her butler.

Was this some sort of joke? Was Ariana really back?

"What are you talking about?" Maybelline stared at her butler. Oh how she’d kill this man today if he was messing with her.

"I’m serious madam. A car returned today and miss Ariana had stepped out of it and just like that, the car zoomed off." May felt like she would pass out.

"Where is she, where is my baby?" Her voice was a bit raised, eyes wide with a mixture of panic and joy.

"In her room madam. The maids have attended to her. Miss Ariana..." Before he could finish, he saw May rush into the mansion for the first time in forever. His madam was running for the first time since he knew her.

May’s steps were quick, her heels clicking on the wooden floor as she hurried to her daughter’s room. This was impossible, her Ariana was back home. Her little baby.

With what she had seen in the photos, even though it’s been almost a week, Ariana should have lost a little weight by now. Maybelline smiled. Her baby would be more beautiful than that stupid Penny.

She couldn’t believe all she needed was a little apology for that fool to bring her baby back. It wasn’t even up to a day yet.

It turns out she’s right. Penny is dying for her love even though she pretends like she’s not.

When May reached the room, she was greeted by maids moving around. "Where’s she, where my child." She said hurriedly and they all have way for their miss Ariana to be seen.

All smile dropped from Maybelline’s face at the sight of her daughter. "Mother." Ariana rushed in to hug her mother, her body squeezing Maybelline’s small form.

"What engagement mother. Isn’t it on Friday? Mother, please push it back a little. Let’s attend doctor Pens exhibition first before the engagement. That way, she can help us." Ari said with pouted lips.

"You’re engagement party is already passed Ariana. And according to what I heard, you almost unalived your sister. Are you saying you do not recall a thing?" Maybelline asked.

"What are you talking about mother?" Ari laughed. "And how do you know I plan to kill that stupid Penny on the engagement. But mum, we really have to push it backwards. I can’t afford to look like this." May stepped back a bit.

She was right. They have done something to her child. Penny has messed with Ariana’s memory. But why would she do that?

Why would she erase the memory about the party? What was she hiding?

Did she frame Ariana and don’t want it out? May frowned at her thoughts.

She was losing her mind but she stayed calm. Penny is her child. The seed she should have gotten rid of. But it’s not too late. Penelope had touched a tail of a tiger.

Maybelline turned to the maids. "Clean her again and again till you’re rid of the stench." She said.

She didn’t know how to twist her nose anymore. Ariana’s bad breath made her stomach churn. She had no idea why her mouth smelled like poop. In fact, the entire room stank as she spoke.

"Mummy, what are you saying? Do you hate me now because I’m fat?" Ari asked and May quickly held her hands.

"No no baby, I’ll never do that. Are you sure you don’t recall anything that happened?" May asked.

"What happened mother. I said I went on vacation." Ari frowned.

"It’s all right. You should bath again, it’s hygienic to have multiple baths, especially after a long trip." May smiled staring at her child.

She had no idea what Penny has done to Ariana and why she smelled like poop, but she would get to the bottom of it.

First it was turning Ariana so fat, and now she had done something else to her child.

May stepped out of the room to call the only person that would understand. As she walked away, she wondered if the other girls were like this too.
