Chapter 175: The Truth Revealed
(Aria’s POV)
“Dominic!” I called out urgently, my voice cutting through the rising tension in the hospital room.
Both men turned to look at me, their confrontation momentarily halted by my interruption. My pregnant wolf whimpered with concern as I sensed the dangerous Alpha energy radiating from both of them.
Dominic’s expression immediately softened when he saw me, his sharp Alpha demeanor melting away as his protective instincts took over. He moved closer to my bedside, his silver–gray eyes filled with worry.
“Are you feeling unwell, mate?” he asked gently, his powerful hand reaching out to touch my forehead. “Do you need me to call the doctor?”
I shook my head, then looked between him and Dr. Lewis with pleading eyes. “Please, both of you, speak properly to each other. Dr. Lewis is merely concerned about his sister. He’s not deliberately covering for her.”
Dominic’s jaw tightened, but he nodded reluctantly. “You’re right. I apologize for my tone.”
He carefully tucked the hospital blanket around me, his touch infinitely gentle despite the anger still simmering beneath his surface. Then he turned back to Dr. Lewis, his voice dropping to a cold, controlled
tone.
“Nathan, that girl you call your sister? She’s a fake.”
The words hung in the air like a bomb that had just exploded. Dr. Lewis’s face went pale, his wolf’s scent shifting with shock and disbelief.
“What did you just say?” Dr. Lewis stammered, his professional composure cracking.
“You heard me correctly,” Dominic replied, his Alpha authority evident in every syllable. “Lily Lewis is not your
real sister.”
My own wolf stirred uneasily within me. This was a serious accusation, one that could destroy an entire
family’s happiness.
“That’s impossible,” Dr. Lewis protested, his voice rising with emotion. “The werewolf medical database confirmed the DNA match. The results were conclusive.”
Dominic’s silver–gray eyes narrowed dangerously. “Tell me, Nathan, did you personally verify those DNA samples? Did you witness the collection and testing process yourself?”
Dr. Lewis hesitated, his professional confidence wavering. “Well, no, but I trusted the medical report. These
facilities have strict protocols-”
“Protocols can be manipulated,” Dominic interrupted. “Money can buy false results, especially when the right people are involved.”
My heart began to race as I realized the implications of what Dominic was suggesting. If Lily wasn’t really Dr. Lewis’s sister, then who was she? And why would she go to such lengths to infiltrate their family?
“I suggest you conduct another DNA test,” Dominic said, his voice carrying the weight of absolute certainty.

This time, ensure you personally oversee every step of the process.”
Dr. Lewis looked torn, his wolf’s scent betraying his internal struggle. But if I’m wrong, if she really is my sister, this could hurt her feelings terribly. She’s already been through so much trauma.*
“And if I’m right, Dominic countered, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper, then you’ve been harboring a dangerous imposter who just tried to harm my mate and our pup.
Before Dr. Lewis could respond, a knock on the door interrupted our tense conversation. Without waiting for permission, Alison Lewis entered, supporting a heavily bandaged Lily Lewis.
Dr. Lewis immediately moved to block their path, his wolf’s scent betraying his anxiety. “Alison, you shouldn’t be here. Perhaps you should take Lily home to rest.”
But Lily pushed past him weakly, her emerald eyes fixed on me with what appeared to be genuine concern. “I
came to check on Aria,” she said, her voice soft and trembling. “I feel terrible about what happened. I just
wanted to make sure she’s okay.”
I couldn’t help but smirk at her performance. After experiencing her true colors in the bathroom, seeing her
play the innocent victim now was almost amusing.
“I’m fine,” I replied coolly, my voice carrying just enough ice to make my feelings clear.
Dr. Lewis, clearly sensing the tension, tried to usher them out. “Lily, you’re injured. You need to rest. Please,
let’s go.”
But Lily suddenly swayed, as if she might collapse at any moment. Alison immediately steadied her, shooting an accusatory look at Dr. Lewis.
“Brother, how can you be so heartless?” Alison demanded, her voice rising with indignation. “Lily came all this way despite her injuries because she was worried about Mrs. Blackwood. And this is how you treat your own
sister?”
The irony of the situation wasn’t lost on me. Here was Lily, the one who had actually attacked me, being portrayed as the caring, innocent victim.
Dr. Lewis opened his mouth to respond, but before he could speak, Dominic’s cold laughter filled the room. The sound was chilling, carrying no warmth whatsoever.
“Ungrateful?” Dominic repeated, his powerful Alpha presence suddenly filling the entire space. “That’s an interesting choice of words.”
Dr. Lewis’s face went pale with panic. He could sense the dangerous shift in Dominic’s mood, the way his Alpha energy was building to something explosive.
“Dominic, please,” Dr. Lewis said desperately, moving protectively in front of Alison and Lily. “Let me handle this. They should leave.”
But Alison, either oblivious to the danger or simply too stubborn to back down, retorted with righteous anger. “Handle what? We’re just showing basic human decency, which is more than I can say for some people.”
Her accusatory glare was directed straight at me, making it clear exactly who she meant by “some people.”
I found myself genuinely amused by her audacity. After what Lily had done to me, after the way she had attacked me in the bathroom, Alison had the nerve to lecture me about gratitude?

“Alison, stop,” Dr. Lewis pleaded, his voice cracking with desperation. “You don’t understand the situation.”
But before he could say anything more, Dominic’s voice cut through the room like a blade.
“Explain yourself,” he demanded, his Alpha authority radiating pure menace.
He began walking toward them with deliberate, measured steps. Each footfall seemed to echo with barely contained violence. His silver–gray eyes had gone completely cold, like winter steel.
“What exactly is my mate supposed to be grateful for?” Dominic continued, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. “Please, enlighten me.”
Both Alison and Lily began to pale as they finally registered the full extent of the danger they were in. This wasn’t just an angry werewolf – this was an Alpha King whose mate and pup had been threatened.
“We… we should go,” Lily stammered, her earlier performance of weakness suddenly becoming very real.
“Yes, we should,” Alison agreed quickly, her earlier bravado evaporating in the face of Dominic’s intimidating
presence.
They turned to flee, but they weren’t fast enough. Dominic’s hand shot out, grabbing a water glass from the bedside table. With frightening accuracy, he hurled it at them.
The glass shattered against the wall just inches from their heads, sending crystal fragments flying in all
directions.
Lily screamed, a high–pitched sound of pure terror. She stumbled, nearly falling as she tried to run toward the
door.
But Dominic was faster. His Alpha reflexes allowed him to cross the room in seconds, his powerful hand clamping down on Lily’s injured arm.
“Where do you think you’re going?” he snarled, his fingers tightening around her bandaged shoulder.
“Ahhhh!” Lily cried out in agony, the pain clearly excruciating. Her wolf whimpered pitifully, completely
overwhelmed by the Alpha’s dominance.
