Chapter 13
The sunlight spilled across Flynn’s figure, making his eyes seem even brighter.
When the bell rang, Flynn took off running in the distance, waving at her as he went. It was such a vivid and warm sight.
Nova was momentarily dazed. For a second, she felt like Flynn shone brighter than the sun.
The Project Westfort lasted two years. By now, Nova had grown close with the people of Feshral Village.
The villagers were very welcoming. On weekends, they often invited her onto their boats to experience the rhythm of fishing life firsthand.
This kind of simple countryside life had always been her dream. Now, she was living it.

Far away in Berning, Ewan was rushed to the hospital from alcohol poisoning. What happened with Wynter had wrecked him.
He regretted every second about how he had never given Nova the chance to explain, and how he had never seen Wynter for who she truly was until it was too late.
However, none of that mattered now when Nova was already gone.
He tried asking around for her whereabouts. No one could or would tell him where she had gone. He couldn’t tell whether it was because they didn’t know, or because they were hiding it on purpose. Even the people he hired to track her had turned up with nothing.
Eventually, he wondered if she had gone abroad. That would explain why she had vanished so completely. However, he checked every international flight and still couldn’t find any trace of Nova.
For the first time, Ewan realized just how big the world truly was. It was so big that once she walked away, he might never find her again.
