Chapter 12 

At Feshral Village in Westhrope, Nova stood behind a dilapidated podium, reading aloud from an elementary school language textbook. 

It had been five days since she arrived at Feshral Village, and only now did she fully understand how harsh life was for the children there. 

She had expected a lack of educational resources, but not this. Some kids couldn’t even get enough to eat. Their families‘ only source of income came from their parents heading out on fishing trips, again and again. 

Still, since Nova had decided to take part in Project Westfort, she was going to give it her all. 

She might not be able to bring material wealth, but she was determined to teach them all the knowledge they could use. Reading and writing wouldn’t guarantee a different life, but could be the way for them to make a change. 

While she was leading a recitation of classical poetry, a commotion suddenly broke out in the classroom. 

Nova looked toward the door and saw Flynn Scott leaning against the window with a playful smile. The moment he caught her looking, he raised an eyebrow at her. 

Right then, the bell rang. Nova had no choice but to set the textbook down and walk over to him. 

Flynn was a well–known playboy from Berning. He had confessed to her at least ten times, and she had turned him down just as many. What surprised her most was that he had also signed up for Project Westfort, especially considering how much he hated discomfort. 

Ever since Nova worked alongside him here, her impression of him started to change. He was actually quite dependable. 

She looked at him and asked, “What are you doing here?” 

Flynn grinned and handed her his phone.
