Alpha’s Regret: My Rejected Mate Is A Healer novel Chapter 125

Sebastian had managed to fight through the warriors on him, leaving Scottie injured and some others dead.

One look at the war and she could tell they were evening out on the battlefield. There was only one thing to do now.

Something inside Ella snapped.

She turned, her murderous gaze locking onto Sebastian’s.

He growled, as if beckoning her.

With a deafening roar, she transformed into Lila, but this time Lila moved with a blinding light enveloped around her massive form.

She had tripled in size.

She possessed the speed of an ancient vampire and the strength of a powerful warrior Alpha.

Nothing like anyone had ever seen.

Even Sebastian was momentarily taken aback at her transformation.

Her eyes were of two colors-crimson and Silver.

She launched herself at Sebastian. The ground shook in her wake.

Her claws glowed and her wild Lila had the force of the Moon Goddess herself surging through her.

Warriors gave way in fear as she approached.

Sebastian swung at her but she was way faster. She dodged the blow and moved like an ethereal being, with one final strike.

She drove her claws into his monstrous heart.

Sebastian let out a strangled guttural cry, his form weakened and Ella used the opportunity to reach for his large head, severing it from his body.

His head was in her hands, his body in a crumpled mess.

His warriors, seeing their leader down, began to flee but Dorian and Kael chased after them.

There would be no survivors to plan a revolt. That was the command and they would see to it. The cost of the battle was high.

Ella, now in human form, fell to her knees, her breath shaky, her hands covered in blood.

The sky cleared above, the moon cast its light on the battlefield, showing the broken bodies of warriors, allies and family. Valen, who had been injured slightly from his battle with Kevin, placed his uninjured hand on her shoulder.

Ella looked at him, “You’re injured,”

“It’s the dagger, it had wolfsbane poison. It’s merely a scratch so it’s not gonna kill me but it’ll take more time to heal. I’ll be fine.” Valen assured her.

Ella was taking no chances, she immediately placed her hand over his injured hand and a bright light surged through her hands.

She healed the wound.

“I can still feel the strong surge of energy,” Ella said, glancing at the injured warriors. “I think it’s best we move those who survived but sustained injuries to me. Let me try to heal them.” Ella said.

“What about the baby? I heard…” Valen caught himself.

Ella hesitated, swallowing hard and trying to hold back the tears threatening to fall as her mind went back to Derek’s sacrifice and insistence on not being healed.

He wanted her to save her strength for others and the casualties that would proceed from the war.

The poison was too strong and had enveloped his heart. If she had tried healing him, she would be drained.

She smiled weakly as she blinked back the tears. “The Moon Goddess will protect the child, she didn’t give me this amount of power to let these ones die while I can heal them. Bring them to me.” Ella said.

Those that could walk came to her and others carried members of the troop who were injured to her.

Ella healed them one by one.

Ella healed the warriors till sunset.

She had refused to stop, refused to take a break. She needed the distraction.

She wanted something-anything-that would take her mind off the guilt that Derek had died in her hands when she could have saved him.

And healing the troops was the right distraction she needed. It was the only thing keeping her from breaking.

She was grateful Scottie, Dorian, Valen and many others were saved. Though Morgana and many others died, but at least the casualties were not as bad as in the nightmares that had haunted her.

Valen stood at a distance watching her. His heart bled seeing her wear herself down like this but there was nothing he could do. He understood she needed to mourn Derek in her own way.

His death had shook the Werewolves.

His beta, Alex, carried his body because he needed to be buried on werewolf soil.

As he was lost in thought, Kael’s voice brought him back to reality.

“Which family does she belong to?”

Valen was taken aback by the abrupt question, he followed Kael’s gaze and saw the way he stared at Ella.

He wanted to question Kael but something snapped in his mind.

He turned and glanced at Kael again.

Now that he thought about it…

There’s a resemblance, a slight familiarity between him and Ella.

Could he be her brother?

Valen turned instead, his gaze returning to Ella as he questioned Kael.

“Why do you ask?”

Kael let out a smile. “Because she reminds me a lot of someone dear to me” His voice was thick with emotion.

He sighed, his voice bitter as he continued. “I don’t want to assume anything…I have been on a wild chase for a long time, still no result”

“You’re searching for someone?” Valen asked, his gaze still on Ella as she was crunched on the ground, her legs drawn together to her chest, her chin resting on her knees, her shoulders sagged with exhaustion.
