Chapter 1312: Magnificent

Now, both Thickness and Vastness each have set ranks for gods of the middle planes. This didn’t mean that gods were equal, no, far from that.

But a god has the collective wills of all their inhabitants. That alone was enough to boost their wills up the ranks, in both Thickness and Vastness.

For gods in the middle planes, the Dreadcore rank for Thickness and Veinbound rank for Vastness was the set standard.

A Dreadcore rank had enough Thickness to crush worlds and remain unshaken. A Veinbound Vastness had enough will to engulf a whole world.

However, it was when Whisker got to this stage that he explained that the ranking system had been made specifically for non gods.

Especially considering the fact that becoming a god automatically boosts you to the top of the ranking.

Regardless, measuring a god’s power from there would depend on numerous things.

The most important were, firstly, of course, the god themselves. Boosts from the world could only go so far, real thickness came from the gods themselves and the quality of their wills.

The next was the god’s reach and influence. How big was the world under them? The number of people under them? The number of their followers? The number of worlds under them?

All of these went hand in hand in influencing a god’s power. And it was all of these that Atticus pondered as he meditated.

Eldoralth was undoubtedly big, but it still wasn’t as big as the worlds in the middle plane.

Some had reached such size that merging more worlds was impractical. So they chose to rule multiple worlds separately.

This was where the problem came in, there were beings whose reach extended past these multiple worlds. Atticus could only imagine how powerful their wills would be.

Regardless, gods had come up with a different rank to classify themselves. They were:

Baron. Viscount. Count/Countess. Marquis. Duke.

A Baron has a small world under them. For reference, Eldoralth was considered small.

Viscount had a mid sized world under them, while Count/Countess had the largest world under them.

A Marquis had multiple worlds under them, while a Duke controlled multiple Marquises. Their reach spanned across multiple worlds, controlling regions in the Verge.

These classifications were general for all middle planners, but usually, the different factions had titles for each of them.

While Atticus meditated and absorbed all of this information, the warriors of Kariot weren’t sure what to do. So, they decided to simply settle down and wait for their new god to finish whatever he was doing.

As all of this occurred, the space where the Great Verge and Dravek was remained utterly silent.

Dravek stared at the blank screen with disbelief, eyes slightly wide.

In the millennia he’d been alive, he could count the number of times he’d been shocked. And for one of them to be because of a child far less than a century old was unbelievable.

Still, Dravek didn’t seem to care. What he had just watched had been far too insane not to react. Far too absurd.

"Hm. It was even more satisfying than I anticipated," the Great Verge suddenly spoke, and Dravek suddenly remembered that he was still in his boundless presence.

"Save the formalities. Refrain from letting me repeat myself, child."

Dravek, who was about to knee, froze and clenched his fists. That was a direct jab.

The Great Verge was known for his eccentric nature. He’d been known for making fun of people, the sort of thing a being of his magnitude shouldn’t be doing. Regardless, there was a hint of humor in the Great Verge’s tone.
