Chapter211
Maxwell lay on the couch, didn’t sleep all night.
He didn’t know what he was thinking, and in the end he just came under the caves, quietly watching the sky slowly get lighter. There were burnt–out cigarette butts all around the seat.
Stephanie lay on the bed, the curtains were open, and she quietly watched the heavy rain outside.
Finally, when it got bright, this rain finally stopped.
Stephanie checked the time. Even though it was still early, she didn’t want to lie down anymore. She decided to go pick up Belinda early.
She got up, got dressed and washed up, grabbed everything she needed, and drove to Haraville Orphanage.
The other side.
The Wilkinson’s mansion.
The rain was still dripping down from the caves in a row.
In the study, the smell of tea filled the air, and Lennon Wilkinson was picking up his pen to write something.
Harrison just woke up. He stretched and walked downstairs. When he passed the study, he glanced inside.
“Bro, you’re up so early.” Harrison walked in yawning, looking at the words his brother wrote.
Lennon didn’t answer right away, but finished up his writing and
wrapped up the piece.
“Everything was good to do, nothing was forbidden,” Harrison read. “Is this today’s almanac?”
As he spoke. Harrison looked around like a dumb goose, like he wanted to find an almanac or something.
Lennon smiled and didn’t say anything. He just put down the brush, picked up a cup of tea, sat in the rattan chair, and looked out the window at the rain in the yard that was gradually stopping.
The whole city was waking up, and people on the street were in a hurry.
The rain stopped just in time, but the morning rush hour was still really crowded
Stephanie left home early today, so when she picked up Belinda, it was early too. They even played together in the little park for a while, and then Stephanie took her to kindergarten.
Seeing that it was about time. Stephanie came to the courthouse.
She stopped in the parking lot, with the divorce papers by her side.
Was Maxwell going to come on time today?
Stephanie couldn’t guess, she just had to wait.
She grabbed her phone, checked the time, and it was already 8:50.
Maxwell hadn’t messaged her yet.
Time passed second by second.
At 8:55, just as Stephanie was looking at her phone, she heard the sound of a car hom.
Stephanie looked up and saw the Maybach parked not far away.
It was Maxwell’s car
He came
Stephanie steadied herself. grabbed all the stuff she’d prepared, got out of the car, and walked toward that Maybach.
She walked to the passenger side and knocked on the window.
The car window rolled down, and Stephanie saw Maxwell’s profile.
In just one night, stubble showed up on his lips, and he was still wearing the same clothes from yesterday, hadn’t changed.
“Time’s almost up, did you get your stuff ready?” Stephanie bent down and looked at him as she spoke.
But Maxwell didn’t say anything.
Stephanie frowned a little, not sure what he was thinking.
About half a minute passed before Maxwell nodded.
Said “hmm.”
Maxwell grabbed the relevant materials from the side, then walked out.
The two didn’t say much and walked silently toward the courthouse.
There were a few couples in front, and they just stood to the side with their numbers, waiting.
A few more couples showed up later. Some of them were still arguing,

and some were just like them, really quiet.
Maxwell looked down at Stephanie beside him.
She was still small and skinny, and right now she was flipping through and checking the materials she brought.
