Stephanic looked at the seal on the ID.

This was it, the marriage was over.

Stephanie felt more relaxed than ever before.

A lot of things after that could keep going.

Whether it was “The Ethereal Voice” Serena’s trouble, or that contract she left a backdoor in, all of it could still go on. The divorce lawsuit stuff‘ she kept just in case wasn’t needed either. Thinking about it this way, she felt a bit less stressed.

And then there was Belinda. Anyway, now Belinda was totally hers, she was her daughter.

What she needed to do now was just win “The Ethereal Voice” championship.

I was planning to reveal my identity after getting the divorce certificate, but then Maxwell and the Wilkinson family secured spots for the show and Serena, so there was no need to reveal it early.

The sun shone all over the land.

“This is it, we’re divorced.” On the steps, Maxwell said to Stephanie.

Stephanie nodded.

“In a few days there was a music competition final, I thought you. might be interested, it was called ‘The Ethereal Voice‘, and there was a contestant named Serena who was pretty good, really talented and strong.”

Maxwell went on, “Her style was kind of like yours, but her skills were a lot more polished. I really admired her. I felt like you could learn something from her. I’ll save you a spot at the show.”

He paused for a moment and said, “Will you go?”

Stephanie looked up: “I’ll go.”

“It just wasn’t in the audience.”

Stephanie said in her heart.

Maxwell nodded at that.

The two had nothing to say again.

Stephanie looked at him, feeling totally calm inside.

“Fine.” she said, “Maxwell, happy divorce.”

Maxwell didn’t say anything, just looked at her with a complicated expression.

“I’ll come to find you in five months,” he said.

“Go back,” she said, and went down the steps first.

Maxwell stood on the steps and watched Stephanie walk away. He saw the sunlight fall on her, giving her a golden outline. For some reason, he felt a little sad.

“Buzz buzz…”

Just then, Maxwell’s phone started vibrating.

He took out his phone and saw Roxanne’s name on the caller ID.

The other hand was holding his and Stephanie’s divorce certificate.

Maxwell looked up again, and Stephanie had already turned the corner and disappeared.

Maxwell shook his head and pushed the weird thoughts out of his mind.

Stephanie loved him.
