"I won't regret things that I don't care about. The only thing I'll regret is letting you go."
Ryan said while gazing at Freya's smile.
Freya’s heart trembled. It felt as if a small green sprout was growing in a part of her heart that had been heavily wounded. Something was reviving.
Seeing that she did not speak, Ryan lowered his head and kissed her again.
Freya did not push him away. Instead, she hugged his waist lightly while trembling. Eventually, the soft kiss intensified.
Both of them kissed in the middle of the brightly-lit living room.
Freya knew full well that she had fallen in love with Ryan.
In fact, she had realized her feelings a long time ago, but she just denied them.
She was afraid that she would fall too deep.
What we feared was often captivating.
Freya had been hesitant and indecisive before.
However, she was still young. She wanted to have another go at it again bravely.
Even if she were to fail in the future, it was no big deal.
She had failed before anyway. At most, she would be heartbroken once more.
After thinking it through, Freya went on her toes and returned Ryan's kiss.
Ryan's body trembled, and he suddenly became excited.
However, the doorbell rang the next moment, and Heidi’s voice dampened the vibe.
"Mom, if there's something you’d like to say, you don’t have to. Freya came over a little earlier than you and told me everything."
Ryan pointed at the silhouette that was brewing coffee in the kitchen.
Heidi glanced over and noticed Freya.
Not long after, Freya brought a cup of coffee out. She still felt guilty and restless when she faced Heidi. She stammered, "Godmother, I'll head back now."
Heidi thought Freya did not want to disturb her mother-and-son talk with Ryan. As such, she nodded.
After heading back, Freya sent Ryan a message asking him to let her know after Heidi left. 1
She received his message only after Dani fell asleep. [
