Asher’s POV
When I walked into the house, I spotted ivy and Janine sitting on the high stools, deep in conversation. Ivy’s laugh caught my attention first – warm, light. She tossed her head back, pushing her long blonde hair mer her shoulder, and I felt that familiar pull, the one that hadn’t faded since the day met het, it had grown stronger with each passing day.
Janine was the Best to see me. I had been two years since I last saw her in person. Of course, she had sent pictures, but none did her justice. She looked different, more mature. I guess wing alone on a different continent away from everyone in your family would do that to you. She smiled at me, “Hello, Ope…
Ichuckled, “You know, that doesn’t bother me anymore because we have the same face…”
“Asher…
There was something about the way my name rolled off ivy’s tongue that sent shivers all over my body. I didn’t know what captured me at that moment. Maybe it was the conversation I had just had with Luca, where I confronted my feelings for livy, or maybe it was all the trouble from that night’s events that I didn’t remember, or the talk about Taylor. Perhaps it was just her–seeing her right now, her beautiful eyes staring at me, her full lips. I felt the pull
as strong as ever,
Without thinking too much about it, i walked up to her, placed a hand on her waist, arid pulled her in for a kiss. She looked up at me, and for a second, saw surprise flicker across her face. Her cheeks flushed slightly, but she didn’t pull away, liked that.
1 deepened the kiss, loving the taste of wine on her lips as I suckled it. My hands wandered down like they had a mind of their own. I gripped her ass cheeks through the short dress she wore and squeezed hard. Her body responded immediately, she leaned into me. It took everything in me to pull
Her checks were flushed.
“Hey, you,” I said softly, caressing her cheek with the back of my hand, meeting her gaze, letting the rest of the world slip away for a moment, like it always did when we were alone together–only that we weren’t…
Janine groaned, rolling her eyes dramatically. “Oh, come on! Seriously, you two, get a room.”
Ichuckled, feeling a rush of warmth as I looked back down at ivy.” just might,” I said, giving Janine a grin over my shoulder. I could see the hint of a blush on Ivy’s cheeks, and she looked away, tucking her hair behind her ear. She did that when she was nervous or flustered. I had observed her for so long. I could tell it was cute.
Janine laughed, pulling hy into a hug. “I mean it, though,” she stated in a mock–serious tone, looking right at me. “If my brother ever hurts you, you come straight to me. I handle him.”
She shot me a look that was half joking, half serious. Knowing my baby sister, she would take vy’s side always if it ever came down to it. It made me happy that she already liked Ivy and that by had someone else she could rely on, I was glad Janine was back.
I shook my head, smiling, “I wouldn’t dare,” Imuttered. “Besides, hy’s more than capable of handling me on her own.” I looked down at by, who glanced up at me. When she met my gaze, she looked away, stifling a blush. Oh, she was naughty,
I knew that. She always got all my naughty jokes and innuendos. I just had to strip away all her defenses to get to the woman un with. I wanted to hear the words she would say, the things she would do to me when she was no longer hesitant and shy.
As Janine pulled away, we shared one of those sibling looks that carried years of shared history. It’d been a while since we’d had one of those. “So, what’s the plan, baby sis? Are you back for good this tige?”
“Baby sis? Really?”
“Little Jay, then?”
I saw she wanted to argue but decided against it. She would always be my baby sister, no matter how grown she acted

“So, you’re not going to run off to another continent this time, right? I finally have my baby sitter back for good?
She nodded, her expression softening “weah, I am. Dubai was amazing, but imised home.”
I tried to keep my one casual, but I couldn’t help the grin that slipped through. “I mentioned that to Loca, by the way He was wet, let’s say he very excited to hear you were back.”
Janine gave a little shrug, her expression unreadable. “Oh, was he
“Oh, don’t act like you don’t know” I was pushing, just a little, hoping she’d let something slip. But she kept her face carefully neutral, not giving an inc Typical Janine she’d always been good at playing it cool
She gave us both a pat on the arm. “You two go on,” she said, smiling as she stepped back. “I haven’t even had time to freshen up
I looked between the two of them, “What were you two doing?”
Janine glanced at the empty wine bottle on the table. “I guess when the topic is you, brother, time seems to pass really quickly
Ifeigned shock. “You two were gossiping about me. What did she tell you?” I asked Ivy.
She chuckled. “Nothing, se-”
“I told her all the crazy memories of you growing up!” Janine interjected. “I feel she deserves to know. I’m just looking out for my sister–in–law.”
“Thank you, Janine!”
“Anytime, girl. I’ll catch up with you later!” She said and hurried up the stairs.
Soon, we were left alone. Ilightly caressed Ivy’s cheek. “So, you’ve met Janine?”
She nodded and smiled. “She’s by far my favorite Sterling

The energy between us was charged. I stole a couple of glances at her lips. I wanted to taste them again.
“I have to go. There are a couple of things I need to do” She pulled away and scurried off before could protest
Ivy’s POV
I felt deep regret the moment I pulled away and rushed off because I wanted it. I needed it, maybe even more than he needed me. After the night we shared wine, I woke up with a clear memory of what had happened.
I had unashamedly clutched onto him, rubbing myself against him. My cheeks turned bright red from embarrassment. I had been unable to look him in the eye after that, I wanted to delete the memory of that moment entirely

“Do you like it that much?” he asked in his deep baritone voice, startling me.
I turned around sharply to see him standing at the other end of the room, a white towel hanging dangerously low on his waist. I looked away immediately. “I’m sorry,” I gestured towards the door and made to leave, but he stopped me.
“I didn’t ask you to leave…
