Bound by Magic, Married by Fate novel Chapter 114

A few silver needles and a single pill were all it took for Valerie to bring a dying man back to life?

What kind of technique could be that powerful?

What kind of medicine could save someone's life in just one minute?

Owen was utterly dumbfounded. Not only was Darrell alive, but he had even spoken a moment ago.

Only Valerie remained perfectly calm. She kindly handed over a tissue and said, "Someone broke into your room during your IV infusion and poisoned you."

At that moment, Lucinda pushed open the door. "Darrell, how are you feeling?"

Darrell's face was still pale, and he was utterly drained of strength. "I'm sorry, Lucinda, for making you worry."

Valerie shot the doctors a look. "Hook him back up to your monitors."

Rowan was the first to recover from the shock. He immediately ordered the team to reconnect the instruments.

He didn't buy this miracle. A patient whose blood pressure and oxygen levels had dropped so catastrophically couldn't possibly recover in mere minutes.

It had to be just a last flicker of life before death.

But the results proved him wrong.

Once the monitors came back online, not only did the blood pressure rise, but the oxygen levels were steadily improving as well.

Even his heart rate, which had dropped to 40, climbed to 72 and was still increasing.

Rowan finally admitted defeat. "Miss, would you mind sharing what you did for the emergency treatment?"

Valerie replied coolly, "I do mind."

Rowan fell silent. He had no idea how to respond to that.

Half an hour later, all of Darrell's vital signs had returned to normal. He had completely escaped death's door.
