Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 112

She was just a bug from the gutter. Natalie was not one of them.

Joanna wiped her tears away. With Jerome to deal with Natalie, what did she have to worry about? Jerome was impulsive. The moment he saw Natalie, he’d probably slap her. That would be perfect revenge for the humiliation she suffered today.

“Come on, Yvonne, let’s go get something to eat.” The thought of the trouble Natalie would be in tonight made her giddy with excitement. Getting hit by her own brother—that must be incredibly painful.

Yvonne gently touched her stomach. Tonight was the night to tell Jerome the truth. “Joanna, I’m thinking of telling Jerome everything tonight.”

Joanna glanced at her stomach and smirked. “It’s about time.”

...

Natalie, Matthew, and Keith moved to a different restaurant. They avoided talking about what had just happened and enjoyed a pleasant meal. Matthew was relieved to see Natalie eating happily and even cracking jokes.

After lunch, they went their separate ways. Natalie returned to her company, and Keith went back to his own work. She had to personally review the submissions for the designer positions she was hiring for.

Back at the office, Natalie threw herself into her work. The number of applications was overwhelming. She personally sifted through them, selecting eight designers to come in for an interview. With the contract with Matthew secured, she felt a sense of relief.

Money makes the world go round. With generous compensation, you get dedicated employees. Natalie knew there would be pros and cons, but she was confident that performance would improve.

Luna brought her a cup of coffee and placed it on a side table. Natalie had a habit of knocking things over when she was focused, so Luna was careful not to put it near the computer. She was so engrossed in her work that she was oblivious to anything else. Spilling her tea was a common occurrence.

“Yes, Miss. I’ll arrange it right away. You should take a break.”

“Okay.” Natalie stood up and stretched, her body aching from sitting for so long. She groaned and rolled her head from side to side. She really wasn't cut out for office work.

She walked over to the sofa and saw the fragrant latte on the table. Her mood instantly lifted. She picked up the white porcelain cup and took a small sip. The creamy, milky flavor spread through her mouth.

“Delicious,” she murmured with a smile.

Her phone started ringing. She picked it up and saw the caller ID. Her expression darkened. Why was he calling her?
