Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 17

Joanna was taken aback. Natalie had truly changed. The old Natalie would have flown into a rage and tried to attack her. This new, calm, and collected Natalie was a threat.

“Natalie, is it so hard to admit when you’re wrong? Mr. Spencer is right here. If you just apologize and confess, he’ll let you go.”

Natalie frowned. “I’ve done nothing wrong. Why should I confess or apologize?”

Her words left Joanna speechless. How could she still be so stubborn?

“Natalie,” Sebastian roared, “we have evidence. We have the video. I’ve looked into it myself. Joanna didn’t frame you. How long are you going to keep this up?”

Natalie shot him a look of disgust. “Who do you think you are? What right do you have to speak to me? Was it your grandmother I pushed? You’re an outsider. Keep your mouth shut.”

“Natalie, you—”

She turned her cold gaze on Marshall. “Mr. Spencer, I hear you’re throwing a party for this young lady tomorrow night to thank her for saving your grandmother. How about this? To show my sincerity, I’ll get on my knees and publicly apologize tomorrow night. How does that sound?”

Joanna was shocked. She was going to apologize in public? Fine. She would make sure Natalie became a social pariah, scorned by everyone.

Marshall looked at Natalie with a smirk. She was stunning, but her heart was black. He stood up and walked over to her.

Slap. He struck her across the face.

Sebastian frowned and stepped forward. “Marshall, don’t take it too far. Natalie is my wife.”

Natalie’s pale cheek instantly swelled. She looked at Sebastian with a cold smile, a pang of familiar pain in her heart. “Don’t be disgusting, Sebastian. You’ve hit me plenty of times for Joanna’s sake. Have you forgotten? You’re no better than him. Now get out of my sight. The sight of you makes me sick.”

Sebastian’s brow furrowed, his eyes filled with disgust. She was incorrigible.

Marshall adjusted his suit jacket, his demeanor calm and composed. “That was for your insolence. If you ever dare to be so arrogant in front of Joanna again, I’ll ruin that pretty face of yours.” His eyes roamed over her, a predatory glint in them.

Natalie quickly stopped her. “Don’t be rash. I just ran into three dogs, and one of them bit me. You wouldn’t bite a dog back, would you? That’s just disgusting.”

Sebastian, standing nearby, heard every word.

Queena looked at her with concern. “I had a vision that you were in danger, so I came to find you. And I was right.”

Natalie was touched. Queena rarely left her home. For her to come all this way meant a lot. “Thank you so much, Queena. I’m fine. I’ve run into a bit of trouble, but I can handle it.”

Queena pouted. “I know you can handle it. I know what you’re capable of. As long as you’re not blinded by love for Sebastian, you can do anything.”

Natalie smiled. “Oh, his childhood sweetheart is back. We got a divorce three months ago. I’m single now.”

Queena’s eyes lit up. “Natalie, you’re not lying? You really divorced him?”
