Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 186

A total nerd. So boring.

At five o’clock that afternoon, when Natalie left work, it wasn’t Sebastian waiting for her, but Matthew.

She was pleasantly surprised. Matthew had said he would drive her to and from work, and he was a man of his word.

At breakfast that morning, he had insisted she call him Matt, so she did. He was several years older, but he didn’t want her calling him “Mr. Monroe.”

“Matt, you’re here.”

A smile played on Matthew’s lips. He exuded an air of refined charm. “Natalie, I told you I’d pick you up. Ready to go?”

“Don’t you have any work events tonight?” she asked with a smile.

“None. But there’s a birthday party in a few days. I’d like you to come with me.” Natalie thought for a moment. It must be Mr. Wilson’s birthday celebration. She was planning on going anyway; her grandfather, who knew Mr. Wilson, was taking her.

“Are you talking about Mr. Wilson’s party?”

Matthew smiled. “That’s the one.”

“Okay, then let’s go together.” She had already prepared a gift.

“Great. I’ll pick you up,” Matthew said, leading her to his car.

Natalie told Luna to head home without her and left with Matthew for dinner.

It was past six by the time Sebastian finished work. He shut down his computer and glanced at the time.

Only then did he remember he was supposed to meet Natalie at home to discuss the divorce.

He frowned. He had completely lost track of time.

Is she going to be angry?

Sebastian pulled out his phone and dialed Natalie’s number. She was always blocking him, so he kept several spare SIM cards on hand.

“But you don’t have me in your heart. You’ve never taken me seriously. So, I’m not going to keep you in mine either. Let’s just part ways amicably.”

Natalie felt exhausted. Utterly drained.

Love was too painful.

It was better to just focus on her career. What’s not to love about being a rich, independent woman?

“Natalie, I got you a latte,” Matthew’s voice drifted over.

“Natalie, are you with Matthew?” Sebastian demanded, his voice laced with fury.

“Yes,” she admitted freely.

“Natalie, you’re still married to me, and you’re on a date with another man?” Sebastian’s voice was hoarse with anger.

She laughed coldly. “And what business is that of yours? You cheated on me with Joanna throughout our entire marriage. You cheating bastard, just stay the hell away from me!”
