Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 235

Natalie smiled and took a deep breath. “Luna, I have no intention of exposing her. Everyone has their own way of surviving. You don’t always have to tear down your opponent’s little tricks to win. Exposing Joanna to Mr. Wilson would be a thankless task. We’d likely fail and only make him suspicious of us. Joanna will undoubtedly whisper poison about me in his ear, and his attitude tonight already showed he’s biased.”

“She wants to be famous, to be on reality shows. She craves the spotlight, not the slow grind of building a following. She has money and power; she sees that as beneath her. But remember the most important rule: the higher you climb, the harder you fall.”

Luna gripped the steering wheel. “So we just let her get away with bullying us?”

Natalie chuckled. “Patience, little one. Revenge is a dish best served cold. Let’s go home, get something to eat, and get some rest.”

She took out her phone and sent a text to one of her contacts. The Scott household was in for a very interesting night. A faint smile played on her lips. She could let go of her own grudges, but she would never forgive them for her unborn child. She could still feel the cold, brutal shove from Sebastian as he pushed her down the stairs, could still hear his humiliating words.

Natalie closed her eyes, forcing the memories away.

Nathan was rushing home to apologize to Wendy when he got a call from his mistress.

“Honey, that bitch Wendy was so rough! She scratched up my face and even knocked out one of my teeth! You have to get revenge for me! Now that she’s caught us, your marriage is over. We need to speed up the plan. I can’t live in the shadows anymore. I want to be with you, out in the open.”

“Oh, honey, I knew you were the best. Drive safe. I’ll be waiting for you.”

He hung up the phone.

At the Scott family home, Wendy stepped out of the shower and immediately played the recording that had been sent to her phone. Listening to the conversation between Nathan and his mistress, her eyes turned cold as steel.

She set her phone down and went downstairs for dinner. She hadn't eaten a thing at the gala and was starving.
