Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 314

Susan's barrage of questions left Jared red-faced and flustered. Being called out so bluntly was utterly humiliating. He wasn't used to her new attitude. His cruel little game was to make Susan watch his happiness, especially since she had repeatedly warned him that Monica was no good for him. That's why he had eagerly sent her the invitation the moment the date was set. He never expected she would refuse to come.

He had always been lucky, getting whatever he wanted in life. Besides being disowned by his mother, things had generally gone his way.

"Susan, I know you're just upset. We've known each other since we were kids. You'll find someone better in the future…"

"Of course I can find someone better than you. Trash belongs in the trash can. You two should just stay together and leave the rest of the world alone."

Having said her piece, Susan put the last piece of lobster on Natalie's plate. "Natalie, eat up. And when Lennon gets back, you absolutely have to introduce me. I was smitten at first sight."

Natalie smiled. "You got it." She kept her head down, focusing on her food and ignoring Jared.

Jared was furious. "Natalie, what did you say to Susan?"

"That's right, Natalie," Monica chimed in, adding fuel to the fire. "I heard you left the Scott family and have been bad-mouthing them everywhere. You're the one in the wrong, so why are you slandering your own brother?"

Natalie shot Monica a cold glance. There she went again. It seemed all the people Joanna placed around the Scott brothers shared one common trait: they loved to play the victim and twist the blame.

Jared froze, her sarcastic blessing grating on his nerves. Susan then turned back to Natalie as if he wasn't there. "Natalie, I heard you're the design director now. Do you need any models? I've been training a new group, and I'm planning to take them to a beach fashion show."

Natalie had been looking for female models. She nodded. "I've already signed ten male models, but I still need ten female models for the winter collection. Our company is participating in the upcoming fashion week."

"That's perfect! Let's collaborate. After my business trip, I'll take you to my agency. This group of models I'm training is fantastic." Her trip was for that very beach show; her family's company was the main sponsor, aiming to build their brand's reputation.

Natalie considered it. A successful beach show would be great for visibility. "Susan, let's make it a mutual partnership. I have ten excellent male models who have been training hard. I'm looking to launch a menswear line as well. Talk to your father about it, and I'll send you the proposal tomorrow. If you think it works, we can team up."
