Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 336

Jared, on the other hand, was offered two minor projects that were barely profitable. When he found out, he called Mr. Wilson immediately.

"Jared, it was your father's decision," Mr. Wilson said smoothly. "He said the projects were a better fit for him. Aren't you all family?" Then he hung up.

Joanna was sitting right beside him. Nathan had already left, but Mr. Wilson was holding Joanna in his arms, a suggestive smile on his face. She returned the smile with a strange, calculating look. He thought he was holding a precious gem, little did he know he was embracing his own doom.

Furious, Jared stormed over to Nathan's company and kicked open his father's office door. "Dad, how could you steal my contracts? You knew my company desperately needed them! I'm getting married at the end of the month! I'm your son, why would you do this to me?"

Jared had a decent head for business, but his temper was his downfall. When things went wrong, he always looked for someone else to blame instead of reflecting on his own part in it.

Nathan just smiled. "Jared, Dad's company is in crisis too. I'm your father, and you're my son. Can't you just let me have this one?"

Years ago, to support his son and his first love, he had Wendy fund this separate company for him instead of working at hers. It gave him financial freedom, allowing his first love to live like a wealthy socialite and giving him the money to send his son to study abroad and start his own business.

Jared was livid. He remembered that Joanna had been there too, and a wave of sadness washed over him. Joanna knew his company was on the brink of bankruptcy because of her, yet she hadn't stopped his father from taking the deals. He lowered his head and left without another word.

Wendy was building a new skyscraper while the old one crumbled. When the time came for the final showdown, Nathan and his mistress would likely be left with nothing.

Standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, Natalie allowed herself a faint smile. She no longer cared what happened to Wendy in this life. She didn't need that maternal love anymore.

Natalie looked down, deep in thought. In her past life, Joanna hadn't pursued a career in entertainment. This life had already diverged from the original path. Back then, with the help of Sebastian and Marshall, Joanna's secret company had gone public in just one year.

She nibbled on her index finger, pondering. Where would that boy appear? The boy who was a brilliant, audacious hacker, whose talents were constrained by his circumstances. He was a crucial piece of the puzzle. Where could she find him?
