Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 77

Her words startled him. He narrowed his eyes. Seeing her distracted expression, his mood soured. At his age, he needed to be in the mood to perform. With Wendy, whose body was still perfect, he was usually interested. It was Joanna’s mother who had let herself go over the years, losing her youthful vitality. But she was his childhood sweetheart, his first love, the one who had always made his heart flutter.

He answered flatly, “Of course not. It was Natalie. Joanna is too kind to do something like that.” He was also puzzled. Why would those two men betray them after taking the money?

Wendy scoffed internally. She had been such a fool, joining this father-daughter duo and her own four sons in tormenting her real daughter. Every misunderstanding, every insult… it must have been a living hell for Natalie. She herself had been wrongly accused before; she knew how terrible it felt.

Her Natalie had endured so much.

Thinking of the hardships her daughter had faced, she wanted to slap herself. That was her own flesh and blood, yet she had never once believed her. Now, she had broken her heart completely, and Natalie wanted nothing to do with her.

Wendy knew she had no one to blame but herself.

And it turned out Joanna and Nathan had orchestrated everything. Even her four useless sons had been won over by Joanna. They were not only good-for-nothing but also rarely came home. Her eldest loved car racing, an expensive hobby that consumed most of the money he earned from his company.

Thinking back, Nathan had never offered any meaningful guidance to their sons. Instead, he let them do whatever they wanted. Now, she saw how terrifying that kind of parenting was. He was intentionally letting them become useless.

A dreadful thought suddenly struck Wendy. Does Nathan have another son out there?

It was the only explanation. It was the only reason he would want to destroy her children and her. Joanna would eventually marry and leave. So, he must have a son somewhere else.

Ahhh…
