Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 78

Sebastian knew how to boil noodles. When they were done, he poured them, along with the water, into a bowl and found the sugar, adding two spoonfuls. He carried the bowl to the dining table and began to eat. The taste was slightly sweet, and it was okay.

But it was nothing like the food Natalie used to make.

In the past, when he came home late after a business dinner where he hadn’t eaten much, there would always be a delicious late-night snack waiting for him.

After finishing the noodles, his stomach felt better.

He went upstairs to his bedroom. He and Natalie had never shared a room. He slept in the master bedroom, and she in the one next door. They had been married for two years without ever consummating the relationship. On the day they got their marriage license, he had made his position clear, and Natalie had never pushed him.

But the woman was talkative, always chattering away in his presence. Now that she was gone, the silence in the villa was deafening, as if the world had gone mute.

Sebastian’s mind drifted back to the innocent young woman he had first met, her smile just right, so warm.

“Sebastian, from today on, I’m your wife. I’m going to love you with all my heart.”

He had looked at her and said, “I will wait for Joanna to come back.”

That one sentence had wiped the smile from her face. After that day, he couldn't remember ever seeing that warm smile again.

Sebastian stood at the door for a moment before pushing open the door to the room Natalie used to occupy.

After hanging up, he received the location. He called Sean to come pick him up, then went back to his room to change into some casual clothes before heading to the bar.

Forty minutes later, he arrived at a private room in a high-end club. It was a luxurious, secluded space, elegantly designed with unique personal touches that offered an exclusive experience. Several other wealthy heirs from Yaro were already there. They all stood up respectfully to greet Sebastian when he walked in.

Julian was strikingly handsome, tall with sharp, refined features that gave him a devilish charm, a stark contrast to Sebastian’s cold, reserved nature.

Matthew, however, was more like Sebastian—calm and composed, but with a wild streak that made him hard to read. He sat to one side and gave Sebastian a nod before looking back down at his phone.

Julian had met Matthew a few times for dinner abroad. Seeing him glued to his phone, Julian teased, “Mr. Monroe, judging by that smile, I’d say you’ve got a girlfriend.”
