Cheated Once Cherished Forever: The Billionaire's Bride novel Chapter 30

"Isabella, think about it, how long have we been together?" Nathan asked.

He didn't answer Isabella's question. Instead, he kept stepping forward, closing the distance between them.

Her hand instinctively reached behind her for something to defend herself with, perhaps a fork. But before she could react, he lunged forward and grabbed her hand.

He said, "Almost three months. When I pursue a woman, I usually get what I want within a week. You're the first woman who made me wait this long. You wouldn't even let me kiss you.

"I played along before because I thought you were innocent, so I just messed around with you for some fun. But then you had the nerve to break up with me and run off with another man. Do you even care about me?" Nathan yelled, closing the space between them.

With the table at her back, she had nowhere to retreat and turned her face away, trying to avoid his scent.

"Nathan, you're the one who cheated first," she said, holding her breath.

He shouted, "I cheated? That's only because you wouldn't give yourself to me. If you had slept with me, do you think I would need to look elsewhere?"

Isabella realized there was no point in arguing further with a jerk like him.

"Nathan, let's part ways amicably," she said. "I've returned the money your family gave my parents. You and I have nothing to do with each other anymore. Don't come looking for me again."

He laughed at that. "Don't come looking for you? Isabella, I gave your family 300 thousand dollars. But your parents paid me back 200 thousand dollars, leaving 100 thousand as compensation for your 'emotional distress fee.'

"We've been together three months and barely held hands. How could that justify you asking for 100 thousand dollars? Fine. I'll accept it. Then today, I'll use those 100 thousand dollars to sleep with you. Isn't that fair?"
