Theodore's reply stunned Isabella.
While she was still dazed, he suddenly kissed her. His kiss was gentle at first but gradually became more and more forceful.
It did seem like they hadn't kissed in a rather long time. Isabella unconsciously wrapped her arms around Theodore's waist and responded to the kiss.
She had never kissed anyone other than Theodore, so she didn't know whether he was considered a good kisser. However, every time he kissed her, she felt her heart beat faster, and she had the urge to submit completely to him.
She didn't know how long their kiss lasted. Just as she thought they were about to advance to the next step, Theodore abruptly let go of her. They were both breathing a little heavily, and the corners of their mouths were wet with saliva.
Isabella couldn't stop herself from glancing at Theodore's crotch before glancing away, blushing furiously.
Naturally, Theodore noticed her gaze and smiled exasperatedly at her. "You have a slight fever. I'll get you some antipyretics."
Stunned, Isabella lifted her hand to touch her own forehead and realized she was indeed feeling slightly warm. Still, it shouldn't pose much of a problem as she wasn't feeling uncomfortable at all.
Theodore returned with a dose of antipyretics and a glass of water, both of which he handed to her. This time, she obediently took the medicine.
"Finish the water as well," Theodore said.
Isabella finished the drink as instructed, and Theodore took the glass from her. Just as he turned around to take it outside, he heard Isabella say coyly, "I heard that it feels the best when you make love while having a fever…"
Theodore paused, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly. He composed himself before setting the glass in his hand on the bedside table.
Then, he wrapped an arm around Isabella's waist and pulled her toward him, his voice already hoarse. "Where did you hear that from?"
It was both a question and a bait.
"I…"
Isabella was unsure of how to reply. She couldn't remember where she had heard that from. It might have been from the internet or a novel she had read.
