Isabella refused without even considering her editor's suggestion. "Nah. Other than this offline gathering, we'll stick to the status quo. I'll avoid public appearances if possible. This is just an exception."

She was only doing so this time for the sake of her fans who had stayed loyal to her all these years. She didn't want to disappoint them.

Her editor knew what she was like, so he did not pressure her.

He simply typed the words, "That's quite a pity, then. The director of Nexa actually said that she came back to the country just to meet you. But since you're not interested in meeting with her, that's fine. I will reject her firmly on your behalf."

Isabella: "Sounds good. Thank you. If she's a beauty, why don't you treat her to a meal on my behalf? On one hand, it can count as my gesture of apology, and on the other hand… As far as I remember, you're single, aren't you?"

Her editor was drinking some tea when he read Isabella's reply, and he almost choked on his drink. He first replied to her with three question marks, then replied, "You changed your mind faster than the speed of light! Why did you change your mind all of a sudden?"

Isabella tapped her fingers speedily across the screen, expressing a subtle glee through her words. "I suddenly feel like an apology would be more sincere when given in person."

Although he was confused, he did not probe further. He agreed readily. "Sure. I'll reach out to her now. I promise that I'll make the proper arrangements for you. By the way, do you need me to choose the place to meet as well? How about a quiet cafe?"

She replied. "No need for that."

She pondered for a moment before typing out an address. "I'll meet her at Carrfield Bar."

Didn't they enjoy patronizing that particular bar? Choosing that bar as their meeting spot would make the meeting a little more intentional.

After wrapping up her chat with her editor, Isabella put her phone away to get ready to get off work. As she did so, her gaze was automatically drawn to that photo.
