Chapter 2198: Second Chaotic Heart

After storing the money, Yuan turned around and began walking toward the exit.

"Esteemed guest... It’s not too late..." Chen Cheng suddenly spoke, halting his movements.

Yuan turned to face him and asked, "What are you talking about?"

Chen Cheng sighed before elaborating, "It’s not too late to apologize to the Chaotic Sect. Just like the gold coins, you should have more spirit stones in your possession, right? You can show your sincerity by offering some of them to the Chaotic Sect, and there’s a good chance they’ll forgive you."

Yuan smiled and responded, "You should really work at a different place. Someone like you does not belong in a place like the Chaotic Sect."

Chen Cheng shook his head and said, "I grew up in the Chaotic Sect. It’s not a place I can leave whenever I feel like."

"Is that so? What a pity. As for apologizing to the Chaotic Sect... I’d rather they hunt me," said Yuan before walking out of the room.

Shortly after Yuan left, Chen Cheng went to another room, where the Chaos Elders were waiting.

"It’s been done. He accepted all of the money without any issue," Chen Cheng informed them.

"Great job. Once we take care of him, I’ll consider giving you a promotion," said the man.

Chen Cheng didn’t respond to that statement and silently bowed.

"Is there anything else I can do for you?"

"No, we’ll handle the rest," said the woman as she stood up with an excited smile on her face.

"It’s time to hunt."

Meanwhile, Yuan returned to the hotel and retrieved the coins that had a subtle aura hidden within them.

"Looks like a tracker. They’ll probably attack once we leave this city," Yuan calmly remarked.

"So, what are we going to do?" Mu Xuelian asked.

"This doesn’t change anything. We’ll still head to the Spirit Tree. If they attack us, we’ll just take care of them. If you’d rather not get involved, you can wait here."

"No thanks. If I stay behind, I might as well have never entered this place with you," she refused without hesitation.

"In that case, do whatever you want. It’s not like I was going to ask you to help me, anyway. I can deal with them myself."

"Then when are we going to leave?" Mu Xuelian asked.

"In a few days, after I absorb all of the Chaotic Essence from the Chaos Coins," he calmly replied.

"Okay."

Yuan stowed away the Chaos Coins with the aura and took out the untampered Chaos Coins from his spatial ring, piling them into a little mountain before him in the middle of the room.

’With this much Chaotic Essence, I can easily create another Chaotic Heart.’ Yuan thought to himself as he sat before the mountain of coins.

Without hesitation, he began his cultivation.

Over the next several days, Yuan’s second cultivation, which had been stagnant at Chaotic Master since he left the Primal Expanse, soared towards the heavens.

<You have absorbed Chaotic Essence>

<You have absorbed enough Chaotic Essence for a breakthrough!>

<You have reached Early Chaotic Commander>

<You have absorbed enough Chaotic Essence for a breakthrough!>

"Alright, I’m ready to leave the city," Yuan said.

Mu Xuelian nodded, and together they departed not long after.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the city, the Chaos Elders had been waiting for Yuan to finally leave the city.

"Get ready! He’s finally on the move!" The woman said to the man after noticing Yuan had left the city through the tracker.

The man nodded before turning to face the others in the room.

"You guys ready?"

"I was born ready."

"Finally, we can stretch our arms. I was beginning to die of boredom."

Thus, the Chaos Elders, along with several members of the Chaotic Sect, began trailing Yuan through the tracker. Yet, they held back their assault, choosing instead to wait until he had ventured far enough from the city.

After days of aimless wandering, Yuan and Mu Xuelian finally stopped moving when several presences materialized out of thin air, closing in from every direction.

Within moments, five figures surrounded them, each one emanating the oppressive aura of a God Ascension expert.

"About time you showed up. What took you so long?" Yuan spoke out loud as he faced the Chaos Elders.

"So you knew," muttered the male Chaos Elder.

Yuan retrieved one of the coins they used to track him and flicked it at him.

"How could I not when you made it so obvious?"
