"So you knew we were tracking you, yet you still decided to leave the city alone? I can’t even imagine what’s going through that mind of yours," remarked the female Chaos Elder, her tone full of mockery.
"It’s nothing complicated. There’s just no reason for me to worry. After all, you’re not a threat to me," Yuan calmly responded.
"Still trying to act tough? Not only are you just an Immortal, but we outnumber you."
Yuan chuckled. "So what? You may be God Ascension cultivators, but you only have slightly more spiritual energy than I do. Right now, you’re no different from mere Immortals."
"This little bastard is very talkative..." mumbled one of the other cultivators.
"Elder Pan, can we kill them already?" said another.
The male Chaos Elder, surnamed Pan, glared coldly at Yuan as he spoke. "I don’t know what hole a bastard like you crawled out from, nor what background you have—but no one who insults the Chaotic Sect walks away unscathed. Still, being the generous man that I am, I’ll grant you one final chance."
"Be a good boy and hand over everything in your possession, and I will grant you a swift and painless death."
Yuan smiled and replied, "If you want my stuff, you’ll have to work for it. However, the results might not be what you’re expecting."
"What a pointless struggle."
"If you want to die a horrible death, allow me to help you!"
One of the experts suddenly lunged at Yuan with a Divine-grade spear in his grasp.
Yuan didn’t even bother dodging the attack and stood still as the spear struck his chest.
"What?!"
To the wielder’s shock, the spear slammed into Yuan and stopped dead, unable to push forward.
In the midst of the wielder’s shock, Yuan grabbed the spear and casually yanked it from his grasp.
"This is how you use a spear."
Yuan surged with Chaotic Essence as he lunged the spear, the thrust detonating with cataclysmic force—splitting the air in a deafening boom and rending open the very fabric of space as it hurled at the shocked expert.
"What are you doing?! Dodge it!"
The spear expert snapped out of his daze at the sound of Elder Pan’s voice, and he hastily summoned his spiritual energy in an attempt to block the incoming strike.
However, due to their environment that forced everyone to be mindful of their spiritual energy usage, the expert subconsciously held back the amount of spiritual energy he used.
Due to this mistake, the spear ripped through his spiritual energy like paper before carving a gaping hole through his body. That being said, even if the expert had used all of his spiritual energy to defend, it wouldn’t have been enough to block the strike.
Before the spear expert could recover, Yuan closed the gap and flicked his arm that was surging with Supreme Sword Aura, striking the man’s head and sending it spinning skyward.
"You’re really stupid if you think that bluff would!"
Suddenly, one of the cultivators vanished from sight and reappeared behind Yuan, his saber already cleaving toward Yuan’s neck. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
This time, Yuan did not stand idle. He lifted his arm and caught the incoming saber between two fingers, stopping it cold in an instant.
"You feeling cold? Let me warm you up a bit," Yuan murmured, unleashing the Primordial Fire—flames so searing they twisted the very air as they consumed the man.
"Ahhhh!"
The man’s screams tore through the sky as he plummeted to the ground, thrashing desperately in a futile attempt to smother the flames. But the Primordial Fire would not relent, and it devoured him piece by piece until only his soul remained.
Once again, the cultivator attempted to flee with his soul.
"You think you can strike at me and leave as you please?" Yuan sneered, summoning the Primordial Fire once more.
Flames engulfed the man’s soul, and since it was far more durable than flesh, the fire gnawed at it slowly, wringing screams of unending agony.
Yuan didn’t bother waiting for the Primordial Fire to finish devouring the soul. Instead, he turned his gaze upon the remaining three, their faces ashen, as though they had just seen a ghost.
"Not looking so confident anymore, huh?" Yuan remarked with a cold smile.
