Dead at Heart (Ariel and Jayson) novel Chapter 507

Nancy’s options were running out.

She sold a small portion of her personal shares and signed an agreement allowing her to buy them back later. The process took some time, and the funds took about a week to clear.

She had already gathered 20 million dollars herself, so she temporarily redirected a part of her upcoming dividends and used that to pay Dylan some of what she owed. Dylan only granted her a threeday grace period for the rest.

Once the funds from the share sale arrived, she immediately replenished her dividend amount and settled the remainder with Dylan.

Nancy had repaid in time and didn’t cause major damage to the company.

Besides, the company’s financials clearly showed those dividends were hers. The payout was only a week away. Fundamentally, it was very different from outright theft. It was a temporary

fund use at worst.

Nancy knew that even if this became public, as long as the internal shareholdersmeeting agreed, there wouldn’t be any consequences. She would still be the CEO of Veyo Solutions.

Moreover, the shareholders were only her, Sarah and Jayson.

If the three of them agreed, it was settled. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have taken this risky route.

She just knew how to handle this perfectly, so there would be no real trouble.

Back at Faye Technologies, Ariel and Chad were still surprised about the whole thing.

She must have taken her dividends early because of that penalty.Ariel quickly connected the dots but frowned in confusion. Didn’t Jayson help her cover it?

She had always assumed that, but now this had happened.

Nancy’s recent urgent need for money and tight situation could only be because of the penalty.

Chad couldn’t help but shake his head. She’s boll for sure. But in the end, Jayson’s backing gave her confidence. Still, she’s smart. If she really made the repayment that quickly as she claimed

Then it could be quietly resolved internally without any punishment. After all, everyone inside was either Jayson’s or Nancy’s people.

Ariel pondered for a moment. Jayson’s stance has been clear. He’ll clean this up, and Nancy won’t suffer any major fallout.

Nancy’s trouble came on too suddenly. Ariel hadn’t even given her the documents that required her signature yet.

What about you? Any thoughts?Chad asked, narrowing his eyes.

Ariel caught his meaning. She lowered her gaze, deep in thought.

That afternoon, Ariel got a call from Tom. Some tasks at Nexura Solutions required Ariel’s

attention.

After discussing work, Tom couldn’t help but mention, Ms. Walker, have you heard? Ms. Stanton ran into some trouble.

Ariel paused. You knew already?

Tom chuckled. Of course. When Mr. Larkin set up the company for Ms. Stanton, he specifically transferred some management staff from Nexura to support her. We’re all old friends. Some news still filters back to me.

Apparently, there’s an internal shareholders meeting at Veyo tomorrow. They’ll probably decide not to punish Ms. Stanton since she made the repayment quickly. As long as they don’t raise major objections, this matter will slide.

Repayment within three months was acceptable.

Besides, Nancy basically paid it back right away, and with Jayson’s protection, she was untouchable.

Alright, got it,Ariel replied without much reaction. Flipping through files, she told Tom, Put the work on hold tomorrow. I need you to come with me.

Tom tried guessing her intent. Where to?

Ariel snapped the pen cap shut. Veyo Solutions. Spy hunting.
