Nancy had long anticipated this situation.
Amid the ongoing discussions, she leaned quietly toward Jayson and softly said, “Jayson, let’s have lunch together. I’ve booked a restaurant. Let’s invite Matt too.”
She appeared very relaxed, as if this wasn’t a big deal at all.
With Jayson right beside her, she felt reassured.
Jayson looked at her and gave a faint smile. “Sure”
Nancy immediately relaxed further. “The meeting should be nearly over after your vote.”
Jayson was just tapping the table casually, about to say something, when suddenly the conference room door was pushed open.
Nancy turned around and saw Ariel and Chad entering, along with Tom from Nexura Solutions. She frowned sharply, and her expression turned cold. “Ariel, this is an internal meeting of Veyo! You barged in and disrupted the meeting! I can have security escort you out!”
She had only given Ariel the cold shoulder, and now the latter had barged right in?
The others in the conference room were momentarily stunned, then slowly looked toward Jayson, who had remained expressionless.
Jayson only glanced at Ariel but said nothing.
Ariel looked at Nancy and said, “Did I agree to no punishment?” 1
Her words shocked many present.
What did she mean?
Nancy herself couldn’t understand it and even found it laughable. She curled her lips with scorn. “Do you need me to remind you? This isn’t Faye Tech. Ms. Walker, why are you acting tough on someone else’s turf?”
Had Ariel lost her mind?
Ariel ignored Nancy and strode to the head of the table. Her gaze flicked briefly to Jayson. Then, she looked at the dozen or so people present with calm eyes and said, “I’m sorry to inform you all of some news.”
She extended her hand, and Tom immediately handed over several documents.
Meanwhile, Chad crossed his arms and leaned to one side, watching the scene with interest.
Ariel placed the documents on the table and pushed them toward the others.

“Nexura Solutions is the actual controlling party behind Veyo Solutions.”
Her words fell like a bombshell.
The conference room grew so quiet that they could hear a pin drop. The mood was suffocating, as if the oxygen had thinned.
Nancy was stunned for quite a while before finally convincing herself she hadn’t misheard.
She stood up sharply, a look of biting sarcasm in her eyes. “Ariel, have you lost your mind? Or are you dreaming?”
Ariel looked at her. “You can read the documents.
As she said that, she glanced at Jayson, who sat with an air of noble composure.
“Mr. Larkin’s investment in Veyo originally came from funds allocated by Nexura. The documents clearly state this. And over half a year ago, he signed a shareholding entrustment agreement with Nexura. Any companies in which he holds shares through Nexura count as shares held on behalf of Nexura.”
The conference room immediately erupted. Most people jumped up and scrambled to read the documents on the table.
Even Nancy felt like she had been struck hard. The usually composed woman seemed to crack for a moment. Even her vision blurred.
Ariel’s visit today was to deal with this very issue.
She hadn’t expected Nancy to make a power move by leaving the three of them waiting downstairs earlier.
Well then, the matter would be resolved once and for all at the meeting.
Ariel looked toward Nancy. Her gaze was cold but calm. “Ms. Stanton, you have breached the company’s bylaws. Accordingly, your employment relationship with Veyo Solutions is hereby lawfully terminated with immediate effect.”
