Nancy’s eyes were as cold as ice.
She had worked so hard after returning to Eldoria. She owned such a large company, and everything was moving in a good direction.
But now… it was all ruined!
Nancy’s words made Chad furrow his brows. He felt Nancy was forcing her own problems onto others. If she hadn’t made that mistake in the first place, how could things have ended up like this?
Ariel looked at her and was suddenly overwhelmed by a sense of helplessness in their communication. She let out a bitter smile. “Nancy, I suddenly feel you’re rather pitiful.”
Her calm words cut deep like a blade.
Ariel no longer cared to argue or reason with Nancy. There was no point in debate because Nancy was not only blind but also stubborn.
At this moment, Nancy couldn’t help but start to break down. This was the worst possible situation for her.
She hurriedly looked toward Jayson, who was sitting beside her.
Jayson met her gaze. He slowly raised a hand, motioning for her to sit down–a calming gesture meant to soothe.
Then he turned to Ariel seriously. “Ms. Walker, according to the bylaws, voting rights depend on the number of shares each party holds. I am holding on behalf of Nexura, but together, Nancy’s and Mrs. Stanton’s shares surpass mine.
The moment Jayson spoke, Nancy’s face turned ashen.
As Ariel looked at Jayson, there was a faint mocking smile on her lips. “Mr. Larkin, you might want to ask Ms. Stanton how much she currently holds.”
Nancy felt as if she had fallen into an ice cave. She sold 8% of her shares. Now, she was short and powerless to compete.
Jayson then looked at Nancy, his gaze questioning.
Nancy parted her lips but couldn’t speak because she hadn’t told Jayson about selling the shares. She planned to buy them back later when she was financially better off and pretend nothing had happened.
Jayson was unaware of this, which was why he mentioned the shares to Ariel in contention.
This was Nancy’s weak point.

But…
Ariel stood up and looked at Nancy, who was now propping herself up on the table and staring blankly at the documents.
“Please expedite the follow–up procedures. The company will proceed with the forced transfer process in full, which includes your mother’s shares.”
Ariel paused for a moment before saying, “Ms. Stanton, from now on, you have no further association with Veyo Solutions.”
Upon hearing that, Nancy uncontrollably collapsed into her chair.
She hadn’t expected things to get this serious. She suddenly felt like she was lost in a fog. She tried to organize her thoughts, but the shock muddled her mind, making it impossible to think clearly.
All she could grasp were a few key points.
Jayson had transferred Nexura Solutions to Ariel to protect Nancy from being jailed on defamation charges that Ariel had filed, and Ariel had taken advantage of the situation to exert control over Nexura Solutions.
And now, Jayson didn’t know she had misappropriated dividends, nor that she had sold shares, making it impossible for her to confront Ariel directly.
But Nancy felt as if something she hadn’t quite grasped was slowly gnawing at her insides, stirring an uncontrollable sense of resistance and rejection.
Her expression grew worse and worse.
Ariel had no intention of staying longer. Since the matter was settled, the rest was up to Nancy
to deal with.
As for Jayson…
When Ariel passed by him, her gaze flickered briefly across his face, and her brows knitted ever so slightly.
Even though Jayson signed this agreement long ago, could he truly have forgotten about it when transferring Nexura Solutions to her?
Knowing Jayson as she did, it was more likely he had anticipated this all along.
Chad glanced at Nancy. As he was leaving, he paused briefly. “Ms. Stanton, I suppose you can no longer expect us to show you any respect, can you?”
