Chapter 529
“I saw Ms. Stanton going into Mr. Larkin’s room just now…”
“Really? Are you sure you’ve seen it right?”
“There’s no way I’d mistake someone else for her. She really went into the room. What’s more, Mr. Larkin has already returned
to his room.”
Ariel tried to remain conscious even though her legs were about to give way and her head felt like it might split at any moment. She managed to hear the two attendants‘ conversation.
However, she couldn’t be bothered with what they were talking about. Jayson and Nancy were free to do whatever they wanted. Ariel couldn’t even ensure her own safety right now. 1
She forced herself to stay awake. As she arrived outside her room, Ariel lifted her head and glanced at the room number. After confirming it was the right number, she entered the room and closed the door behind her.
In the darkness, she staggered toward the bed. Eventually, she plopped down on the soft bed.
The party was still in full swing on the fifth floor. Some people stayed and continued partying since they still had enough stamina.
On the other hand, some people had returned to their rooms, as they were already tired.
Samson had no interest in joining the party crowd. He stood on the deck by himself. With his elbows on the railings, Samson bent forward slightly and sipped on his drink.
A short while later, Cecilia came up to him. She swirled the glass of liquor in her hand and beamed at Samson. “Why are you still here?”
Samson cast her a sideways glance. “What?”
Cecilia tilted her head. “Aren’t you going to meet Ariel?”
Samson said nothing and just stared into the horizon this time while he sipped on his drink.
The corners of Cecilia’s mouth turned up as she stared at his side profile. “Room 6103. I’ve created a good opportunity for you. Don’t say I haven’t offered you any help. You should seize the opportunity to the best of your ability.”
With a frown on his forehead, Samson turned his gaze toward Cecilia. “What do you mean by that?”
With her elbows on the railings, Cecilia placed her chin on her cupped hands and smiled. “Try and make a guess?” 1
While saying that, Cecilia turned her head and gazed in the direction of where they had sat earlier. Her gaze fell on Ariel’s glass.
Samson followed her gaze and saw the glass as well. He froze for a split second. Then, his eyes hardened. “Cecilia, what have you done?”
“I didn’t do much… I simply gave her a cocktail that had really high alcohol content.” Cecilia was rather nonchalant about it. She didn’t elaborate on the exact contents of the cocktail, though.
Upon hearing her words, Samson had a steely look in his eyes. “Cilia, you shouldn’t overstep your boundaries.”
He hurled his glass onto the floor. Without sparing Cecilia another glance, Samson hurried off to the sixth floor to look for Ariel.
Cecilia stared at Samson’s receding figure. Her eyes were unreadable. After some time, she turned around and took a sip of her
drink.
She had simply pulled a trick to accelerate things between Ariel and Samson. She saw nothing wrong with what she had done.

It was only when someone called out her name that Cecilia finally snapped out of her reverie. She slowly rubbed her fingers. Then, Cecilia scoffed and walked over to the crowd.
The sound of crashing waves could be heard coming from outside the window. The noise felt so loud that it seemed to ring in
Ariel’s ears.
Ariel struggled to open her eyes. When she did, she could see the beautiful horizon through the window.
At the same time, she could sense the humidity in the air. Perhaps it was due to the new environment, Ariel felt rather uncomfortable after spending the night on the ship.
She tried moving her muscles. Her temples throbbed. She also felt listless.
Ariel lay on the bed and stared at the lamp above her for quite a while.
