Dead at Heart (Ariel and Jayson) novel Chapter 530

Ariel stopped focusing on the thoughts she was having.

She turned her head and noticed Samson was standing next to here seemed curious about Ariel’s condition, as he bent forward slightly and looked at her.

How come you’re up so early? He had just finished doing his exercise on one of the lower floors. He noticed Ariel seemed to be in deep thought as soon as he got there. He wasn’t sure what she was mulling over.

Ariel paused momentarily after hearing Samson’s question. She raised her head and met his gaze. Where were you just now?

Samson pointed in a certain direction. There’s a gym downstairs went there and jogged for an hour.

You woke up so early to do your exercises?Ariel checked the time. It was only 7:00 am.

Samson stared at Ariel for a moment before chuckling softly. Sometimes, doing these exercises helps to clear my head.

The corners of his mouth lifted. His gaze fell on Ariel’s face. There was a subtle change in the air as both of them fell silent.

Did you sleep well last night?Samson asked.

Ariel nodded a little hesitantly. I still can’t get used to the ship’s erratic motion on water, though.

We’ll be reaching the dock in less than two hours. Hang in there for a bit. Do you want to have some breakfast first?Samson glanced at his watch. His tone softened.

Ariel was planning to get something to eat in the first place.

She really disliked alcohol. Both her mind and body rejected anything containing alcohol.

All these years, she had made sure to be careful not to ingest anything alcoholic. There were hardly any occasions on which Ariel was required to drink.

Even just a small sip of an alcoholic drink would make Ariel feel like her stomach was burning. Worst of all, it would take a very long time for the alcohol to leave her system.

A rash had broken out in small, itchy patches across her skin since she woke up this morning. Despite the condition not worsening, the discomfort was a constant presence. She hoped something warm from the restaurant might make her feel better.

As for what happened last night, Ariel couldn’t quite recall who that person was or what exactly happened.

She could only vaguely remember that she had taken the first move by hugging that person. The fact that she did that made the whole situation more complicated.

Ariel had no idea why she had acted that way. It was as though she was being driven by something at the time.

The main reason why Ariel avoided alcohol was because her body was extremely sensitive to it. She would suffer from varying levels of discomfort and allergic reactions depending on the situation

In addition, Ariel tended to do wild, crazy things whenever she gorunk. What was worse, she would have no recollection of what happened.

Ariel tried hard to recall what had happened last night, but nothing came to mind.

A frown creased her forehead as she wondered who that person wa

Ariel had not expected any of this, whether it was her accidentally having an alcoholic drink or her having spent the night with a

man.

Samson probably noticed that Ariel was a bit distracted. He waited for a while before saying, I’d like to apologize to you.

Ariel directed her gaze at Samson. She was a bit confused as to why he said that. What was he sorry for?

Just as he was about to say something, the elevator reached the floor they were heading to. Ariel stepped out of the elevator and glanced over her shoulder at him.

Samson took in the calm look in Ariel’s eyes. Most of the time, Ariel was aloof and distant. People would hardly detect any warmth or amicable feelings by looking at her eyes.

After a moment’s consideration, Samson let out a sigh. He said in a gentle voice, Shall we eat together?

Sure.Ariel nodded. She did not turn down Samson’s suggestion
