Chapter 573
Even the lawyer who was supposed to defend Sarah’s case had pulled out at the last minute. Sarah was
in hot water too.
They could only resort to shady, underhanded methods. Their top priority now was to avoid prosecution and imprisonment.
Nancy understood what Sarah was trying to say. She took a deep breath. “We won’t be able to leave the country by flight. We’ll have to use other ways… You should go first.”
Sarah never imagined that their family would one day end up in this state. People treated them with scorn and contempt ever since their reputation was ruined.
They had lost their wealth, status, and all the great opportunities that were initially available to them.
Sarah couldn’t help feeling indignant. She tightened her fists. A cold glint flickered in her eyes.
Edward and Jayson had made a last–minute arrangement to meet the next day.
In the evening, Edward visited Bluum Tower. Arthur greeted Edward and personally showed him in.
Jayson left the conference room and went back to his office. When he spotted Edward, Jayson smiled slightly. “Mr. Graham.”
Edward looked at him and had a sip of tea. Then, he began, “Sarah’s lawyer has left Eldoria. There won’t be any issues for Ms. Walker after this.”
Jayson lowered his gaze and adjusted his cufflinks. He said in a monotonous voice, “You can make the necessary arrangements as you see fit, Mr. Graham. You don’t necessarily have to inform me about every
detail.”
Edward gazed at Jayson. If it weren’t for what happened before, he probably wouldn’t have an inkling of
what Jayson was thinking.
At the thought of that, Edward said unhurriedly, “Ms. Walker has probably caught on to something by now. With how wise and sensible she is, she may start questioning a few things, like matters relating to
the divorce agreement.” 1
Jayson’s brows arched. He took off his rimless glasses. “We’ll just leave it at that. What matters more is to
settle the issue at hand.”
Edward understood the meaning behind those words. He just needed to act like he knew nothing of what
he just said.
Someone knocked on the door at that moment.

Arthur entered the room and whispered in Jayson’s ear. “Mr. Larkin, they’re finally making a move.”
Jayson’s expression remained unchanged.
His phone vibrated. Jayson took a glance at it and noticed there was a message from Nancy.
“Jayson, could you free up some time to meet me? I’ll wait for you at Goldsbury Bay.”
Ariel caught a cold the day before. With her immune system weakened, she was running a mild fever. She decided to take a half–day off and work from home instead.
It was almost 8:00 pm by the time she had completed the design sketch of the aircraft’s wing.
Ariel was famished since she hadn’t had anything to eat. She checked the fridge only to find that she had run out of food ingredients.
So, Ariel took her phone and headed out in her slippers.
There was a supermarket near their residential area. It would take only five minutes to get there on foot.
Ariel found it convenient to stay in this area. She could find hospitals and several supermarkets nearby. The subway was located just a few hundred yards away.
If the subsequent treatments had proven effective, Ariel planned to buy a property and settle down here.
After getting some fresh ingredients from the supermarket, Ariel walked back to her place while gazing up at the night sky from time to time.
On the way, she received a call from Chad. Chad’s voice was uncharacteristically grim. “I just met Commander Quinton, and he told me they just received some news. Nancy and Sarah… they’ve gone
missing.”
A deep frown drew Ariel’s brows together. “What do you mean?”
