Morgan froze, his face pale with shock. He hadn't expected Jayson to speak so coldly and ruthlessly. Sweat ran down his temples. "I'll give them to you, but only after the money hits my account."
By now, he was starting to understand just how capable Ariel was. She could even make Jayson go to such lengths to protect her.
Gritting his teeth, he forced a stiff smile to smooth things over. "Jayson, look, this project was your suggestion. Now that problems have come up, you can't just stand by. I'm Ari's father, after all. You should at least take responsibility for her sake, shouldn't you?"
Morgan was in a mess.
The project ran into trouble suddenly, and the scheduled repayment date was fast approaching. If he didn't fix it fast, Sanderson Group could collapse entirely.
Jayson leaned back in his chair and drummed his knuckles on the table. "If you had treated Ariel well, maybe we could still talk nicely today. But since you've long meant nothing to her, what right do you have to expect me to pay your bills?"
Morgan's face went pale.
He had been navigating the business world long enough to tell that Jayson was supporting Ariel in every way. Jayson wanted the photos to protect her reputation.
Morgan didn't dare challenge Jayson and could only smile nervously. "I can give you the photos. I do have more sensitive material. How about this? Transfer me 80 million dollars first so I can cover the companies pressing for repayment now. I'm not asking you to pay for everything. I'll hand over all the photos after that. Fair enough?"
He had a plan—cover the urgent debts first.
There were other creditors too, but if he could handle the immediate ones, he could settle the rest once some of his funds came in later.
As long as it didn't escalate, he would have room to maneuver.
Conveniently, the remaining creditors were all local Eldoria companies. Knowing he was Jayson's father-in-law, they would give him some slack.
"Arthur, wire the money through my personal account," Jayson ordered.
He looked at Morgan, his tone calm and steady. "Hand over the originals. The money will be in your account soon."
Indeed, it held photos of Ariel in her most vulnerable moments, captured from every angle. They were raw and explicit.
His hand tightened instinctively over the mouse as he scrolled through them.
Finally, he pulled the card out and called Arthur over. "Contact the heads of those companies. Ask them to start pressuring Morgan."
Arthur immediately understood. With a nod, he headed off to carry out the order.
Morgan assumed those companies didn't know he had little real connection with Jayson. In reality, they relied on Jayson too. He was the one who had approved lending Morgan the money in the first place.
Morgan had overestimated his importance.
Once Arthur left, Jayson broke the memory card in half and tossed it into the trash.

Can you give me more chapters? I was hoping for a happy ending with Ariel and Jayson. Janice with Wade, and if not, put her with Chad, Matt, or even Liam....
Nice and amazing story with gripping turns, but can you give more chapters? And please we need more romance as readers, it has been dragging on a lot, maybe romance, happy ending and end it soon....
