Janice sat cross-legged in her chair, eyes flicking toward Ariel as she slurped her steaming instant noodles.
Sliding into her slippers, she stood up. "Alright, alright, I get it. You two have things to talk about. I won't be a third wheel. I'll give you some space."
She opened the door and headed straight to the balcony to continue her feast.
Ariel gave her an amused glance.
She placed her phone beside her laptop so it wouldn't interrupt her work and answered the call.
Jayson's face appeared on the screen.
Ariel glanced at him briefly while flipping through her files. "Why are you still awake? It should be 1:00 am in Croinia, right?"
Jayson seemed to be in his study. He casually rested his phone on the desk. "I just need to make sure you arrived safely. Are you even human, Ms. Walker? Can't you even send me a text?"
Ariel felt a little guilty. She had intended to wait until morning to notify him, thinking it was too late and she might disturb him.
Besides, she had been used to being independent for so long that her habits hadn't fully shifted. She admitted it was her fault.
"Sorry," she said softly.
Jayson looked at her earnest expression and let out a chuckle. "Well, you're quick to admit it. Anyway, are you feeling any discomfort? How's the environment? If it's not ideal, I can speak with the higher-ups and arrange for medical staff to come take care of you."
He couldn't help but feel concerned for Ariel.
Ariel quickly cut him off. "No need to fuss. I'm fine. I'm here to work, not to enjoy myself."
Jayson looked at her, then bent down to unbutton his shirt. "You really can endure hardship, huh? I'm the only one worrying."
Ariel knew Jayson was sharp-tongued, but the way he expressed himself so openly still made her cheeks warm.
When she looked at the screen, Jayson had already undone all his buttons and taken off his shirt, revealing a well-defined, beautifully sculpted upper body.
Yes, he was deliberately seducing her.
Ariel wasn't completely unaffected, but her focus remained on sorting out her work.
Still, she had to admit that Jayson was extremely disciplined in taking care of his fitness. His physique was impeccable.
"What's so tempting through a screen?" Her tone was calm as she scrolled through the documents.
It was precisely this calmness that made Jayson narrow his eyes and click his tongue. Unbothered, he replied, "Thank you for such high praise, Ms. Walker."
Ariel knew him well enough to know that he wasn't the type to feel shy or outmaneuvered.
She really had no time to entertain him, so she gave a vague reply.
Seeing her engrossed in work, Jayson buttoned his shirt back up. "I'll fly over to join you soon, and we'll head to Nacsall together."

Please give us more chapters. We're stuck at 889 since November....
Can you give me more chapters please...
Can you give me more chapters? I was hoping for a happy ending with Ariel and Jayson. Janice with Wade, and if not, put her with Chad, Matt, or even Liam....
Nice and amazing story with gripping turns, but can you give more chapters? And please we need more romance as readers, it has been dragging on a lot, maybe romance, happy ending and end it soon....
