The deafening noise all around made Ariel's heart pound. She watched as a cloud of dust rolled closer and closer in the distance. Danger was almost right in front of them.

She knew everyone was scrambling to evacuate with the equipment.

Her face tightened. "Okay, pack it up now. The equipment can't be damaged."

She bent down and snatched her phone off the ground. Its screen had cracked from the fall, but it was still usable.

Moving with the retreating crowd, she quickly dialed Jayson's number. The situation here was too dangerous. She had to stop him from coming here.

"Sorry, the number you have dialed is not available…"

She pressed a hand over her ear and raised her voice, shouting to Janice, "I'm fine! I'm heading—"

Just then, a sudden explosion rocked the car. The driver swerved hard, and Ariel's phone flew out of her hand.
