Dead at Heart (Ariel and Jayson) novel Chapter 811

Strong winds swept across Ariel, making it hard for her to see.

At that moment, she spotted a familiar figure leaping out of the aircraft. The person was dressed entirely in black, and it was a face she had been seeing in her dreams for the past few days.

Even though Ariel didn't want to believe what Samson had told her, fear still lingered deep inside. She often woke up in the middle of the night, heart pounding, after dreaming of Jayson's death.

As Jayson moved closer, his face became clearer.

Overwhelmed by the storm of emotions surging through her, Ariel finally found her footing and ran toward him.

The propeller was slowing down when Ariel threw herself into Jayson's chest and fell into his warm embrace.

Jayson had acted swiftly.

When he saw from afar that Ariel was being chased, he leaped out of the aircraft before the pilot could even land.

In that instant, Jayson felt as though he had finally gotten back the person who meant the world to him.

He could feel Ariel's rapid, erratic heartbeat.

For some reason, she was holding onto him so tightly, as if she needed to make sure he was real.

"It's alright now. I've come to take you home," Jayson murmured, bending slightly as he gently patted her back to calm her down.

Ariel could no longer contain the emotions she had been suppressing all this time.

The thought that Jayson might already be dead had haunted her endlessly. To keep herself sane, she kept coming up with excuses—plausible explanations that maybe, somehow, he was still alive.

Even so, the moment she saw him again, all the walls she had built crumbled.

It felt like she had miraculously recovered something precious she once lost.
