Chapter 25
“You… You dare hit me?”
He clutched his face in shock and fury.
Evelyn screamed, “Are you insane? Do you know who I am?”
“I do.”
Zachary brushed off invisible dust from his suit, voice cold as ice.
“You’re the daughter of a family who owns a company that’s about to go bankrupt.”
Evelyn’s expression changed dramatically. “What nonsense are you spouting?”
“Nonsense?”
Zachary pulled out his phone and made a call.
“It’s me, Zachary Monroe.
“The Wyatt Group. Make sure it’s gone within the hour.”
His tone was calm like he was discussing the weather.

“Before I change my mind.”
Evelyn trembled all over. She finally realized what kind of man she had provoked.
A man who could make the Wyatt Group vanish with a single command.
That kind of power was far beyond her imagination.
“Sorry… we’re leaving now…”
Evelyn no longer dared to act arrogant. She grabbed her stunned date and fled in panic.
The jewelry store was dead silent.
All the staff and the manager were too frightened to even breathe loudly.
Their eyes on Zachary were filled with awe and fear.
But Zachary looked as though he had merely crushed an ant beneath his fingers.
He turned back to Gabrielle, and in an instant, his gaze softened.
“Did I scare you?”
Gabrielle shook her head, though a storm was churning inside her.
She had always known Zachary was powerful and wealthy, but she hadn’t realized he held such power.
With just one sentence, he could decide the fate of an entire corporation.
Such power made him feel almost unfamiliar.

“I just think… they were really stupid.”
Her words made Zachary laugh.
“They were stupid. To dare cross my woman.”

He picked up the pink diamond necklace and fastened it around her neck himself.
The cold chain touched her skin, sending a ticklish sensation down her spine.
Gabrielle looked down at the dazzling galaxy resting against her chest, a wave of tenderness filling her heart.
“It’s beautiful,” she murmured.
Zachary stepped back to admire his handiwork, eyes full of admiration.
“But the person wearing it is even more beautiful.”
Gabrielle’s cheeks flushed pink again.
He could always make her flip.
The manager finally came back to his senses and quickly stepped forward to ring up the purchase.
The price was high, but Zachary didn’t even blink.
