Ditch My Ex (Gabrielle and Timothy) novel Chapter 35

There was no expression on her face, like she was listening to a story that had nothing to do with her.

Yeah, for her now, those people and things really didn’t matter

anymore.

Zachary felt a bit relieved, but his dislike for Timothy grew even

stronger.

You didn’t cherish it back then, now the person’s gone, and you’re pretending to care. Ridiculous.

Let them do whatever they want,Zachary said flatly.

As long as they weren’t stupid enough to mess with my people.

Otherwise, he didn’t mind letting the Goldstein family et a taste of losing everything too.

Roger nodded. He knew Zachary’s bottom line.

I would keep an eye on it and let you know right away if anything changed.

Yeah.

Meanwhile, far away in Balamora, the Goldstein’s villa.

The atmosphere was as oppressive as an ice cellar.

In Timothy’s room, the curtains were closed and it was dim.

The strong smell of alcohol filled the air.

Timothy sat on the carpet, slumping against the side of the bed.

Timothy’s hair was messy, his beard was scruffy, his eyes were sunken, and his gaze was blank.

He got so skinny that he was out of shape, and he totally lost his old handsome and charming look.

There were empty bottles all over the floor.

It had been over a month since that accident.

But for Timothy, it felt like just yesterday.

The flames shooting up to the sky, the charred wreckage, and that unrecognizable body.

Like a nightmare, it tortured him day and night.

He couldn’t accept that girl who had followed him around since they were kids, calling him Timothy.

The girl who had loved him for twenty years and was his bride.

out to become

He died so tragically like that, and he didn’t believe it was an accident.

Someone must have planned a murder. Was it Cecilia?

That woman who kept saying she loved him, but went crazy and obsessive after he got engaged to Gabrielle?

He sent someone to check, but they couldn’t find anything.

All the evidence pointed to an accident, the car caught fire by itself.

The forensic report was out too, and the DNA from the burned body really was Gabrielle’s.

But he didn’t believe it.

His Gabrielle, how could she just die like that?

She was so full of life, so wonderful.

It was all his fault, he was a jerk, he was a coward, he didn’t protect her.

If he hadn’t cheated, there wouldn’t have been a chance for Cecilia.

If he had been a little nicer to Gabrielle, a little more determined.

Would nothing have happened?

Huge regret and pain ate at his heart like a snake.

He lived every day in selfblame and torment.

Only alcohol could numb him for a while, could make him forget that heartwrenching pain for a bit.

Knock knock knock.

There was a knock at the door.

Timothy didn’t react at all, still staring blankly into space.

The door was pushed open, and Jazlene walked in with a bowl of porridge.

Seeing her son looking like this, Jazlene felt so bad she started crying.

Timothy, my son, you couldn’t go on like this anymore.

Jazlene put the porridge on the table, walked over to her son, and tried to pull him up.

Gabrielle was already gone, no matter how much you tortured yourself, she wasn’t coming back.

Look at what you looked like now, if you fell apart, what would we the Goldstein family do!

When Gabrielle was mentioned, there was finally a flicker in Timothy’s

empty eyes.

He suddenly shook off his mom’s hand, his voice hoarse like a broken

gong.
