He signaled the manager to take out the necklace.

The manager carefully opened the display case and took out the necklace.

Zachary took the necklace and put it on Gabrielle himself.

The cold chain lay against her warm skin.

His tone was contemptuous, full of the arrogance of someone in power.

Theresa was so angry that her face turned pale.
