Don't get close to me (Linda and Beast) novel Chapter 6

As Bone's entered the room and looked at Linda sleeping, he noticed the small changes in her. Even in sleep, she was not resting. She was talking in her sleep. He had to get close to hear what she was saying.

She was whimpering. He heard her say. Please stop hitting me. I'm sorry I didn't make what you wanted for supper. Stop. Please leave me alone. Bones undressed and got into bed pulling her close to him. She tensed even in her sleep.

After she rolled her head over and smelled him, he watched her relax and say. Safe smells like Bones. He won't let him hurt me. And she fell into a deep sleep.

Bone's was angry. Angry that she had been hurt. But smiled because she smelled his cologne and knew it was him in her sleep and she was safe. She slept well for a change. When she woke up and lifted her head, she saw she was sleeping on Bone's chest.

She smiled and pocked his cheek. Bone's lifted an eye and asked.

"What are you doing little one?"

She said. "Making sure you are real. That I'm not dreaming."

He grinned and said. "I'm real. I'm here and you are safe."

She smiled and said. "I'm hungry."

He smiled and said. "Well, let's get up and go get something to eat."

She sat up and saw what she was wearing.

Bones said. "It is Beast's shirt. I changed you."

" Ok," she said. She got up and dressed and asked: "if he or Ryan would walk with her to her apartment so she could shower and put on clean clothes."

He said, "I can't, Ryan is working but Beast can."

" Fine, " she said.

"Don't you like Beast?"

She looked down her face turning red. "I do she said in a soft voice. But I can't let anyone get close. They will get hurt. And, I'm not the type of girl someone like him would like."

Bone's frowned at that. He said. "I'm pretty sure that Beast can take care of himself and I would not bet on you not being his type of girl."

Under her breath, he heard. "No, I'm not. I'm ugly."

He didn't think she knew he heard her. As they walked to the bar Bone's saw Beast look up and watch them walk towards him. Beast was looking at Linda with love in his eyes. She didn't see it, but he did. He knew this man was falling for his little one.

"Beast" he said.

"Can you walk Linda to her apartment so she can shower and change?"

"Sure," he said.

"Linda put on jeans and tennis shoes we are going on my bike to get breakfast"

he said as they walked away.

Beast had the key to her new door and when they walked across the street and up the door, he unlocked it and gave her the key. They walked in to shut the door and she said.

"You can wait in the living room."

He walked to the couch and sat down while she walked into her bedroom came back with clothes and went to the bathroom. She walked out dressed about 20 minutes later and sat in the chair and put her socks and tennis shoes on. He thought how beautiful she is, but she doesn't see it.

She looked at him and asked. "You alright?"

" Yes, why do you ask?"

You were staring and I called your name three times.

He smiled and said. "I was thinking about when I first saw you."

"When was that?"

"The day you moved in here."

"Oh, I must have been moving my dressers and boxes."

He grinned and said, "you were."

She stood up and said. "I'm ready to go."

Beast stood up and followed her out the door and waited while she locked it and put the key around her neck. They walked across the street where Bones and Gunner were standing by their bikes.

Bones said. "Beast' we are going to Bob Evans want to come."

"Sure," he said.

He walked over to his bike and he watched Bones' lift Linda and placed her on the back of his bike after putting a helmet on her. He wished she was riding behind him.

She told the waitress what she wanted and so did Gunner, Bones, and Beast. They watched her storm away with the order.

As their food was brought to them Linda said.

"I hope she didn't spit in it."

The guys started laughing at that. Linda then ate but watched everything going on around them. One day she won't have to do that. She will relax and not worry about if she is going to be attacked. She leaned back drinking her coffee while the men talked in quiet voices. She was looking out the window when Beast saw her tense up and sit straight up and start shaking.

Bone's turned and looked at what she was looking at. There that son of a bitch stood leaning against his car. Bones didn't say a word, but Gunner stood up and walked across the room and out the door. He walked over to Randy. He said something that Linda, Bone's, and Beast could not hear since they were still in the restaurant.

Randy looked at Gunner and said. "Gunner after Linda is done eating tell her to get her ass out here."

"She did not have my permission to leave the apartment and go with you, Bones, and that other ass with you."

Gunner folded his arms and smiled.

"Randy, Linda is not coming out here. At least not without Bones. And you are one dead son of a bitch."

Randy looked at Gunner and laughed.

"Come on stop fooling around."

He slowly stopped smiling when he saw the look on Gunner's face.

"We're coming for you, Randy. And when we do. We will give you the one beating you will never forget."

"I saw the belt marks on little Linda's back. Bones is out for blood. Your blood."

Randy stood up and ran around the car getting in. Gunner didn't move.

He said "Randy you are being watched too. And as you said in your letters to Linda. We will get you when you feel safe. I would leave town if I were you. But then again. There are other MC's looking for you too. Did you forget what that earring Linda is wearing meant?"

"She is Bone's adopted, little sister."

He leaned on the car and he said.

"I will personally rip your fucking heart out. You took her spirit. The spirit that made me happy. That is gone and you are going to pay for that."

Randy put the car in drive and drove out of the parking lot as fast as he could. Looking in the mirror he saw Gunner lift his hand and point his finger at him. He knew he was a dead man. He knew he could very well have a hand cut off for beating on Linda. He had to leave town and leave town fast. But he had no money and nowhere to go. He looked back again and saw two bikes behind him. He knew right that they already knew where he was staying. Beast and Bones looked at each other and they knew they would ask Gunner what was said when Linda was not present.
