Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 890

Emmy stared at those two words, caught off guard. For a moment, her heart skipped a beat.

Sync.

Without wings to soar together, but our hearts always in sync. The name really was perfect. It felt like someone had poured all their silent, deep affection into it.

She shook her head, trying to push away the sudden wave of emotion. Both hands landed on the keyboard.

Click... clack... Her fingers flew, just a blur over the keys. As she asked the man for the numbers she needed, she was already making adjustments at lightning speed.

People nearby couldn’t look away. No one even dared to breathe too loudly.

“All set.”

Not even three minutes had passed before Emmy hit enter. The screen flashed: Calibration complete. Adaptive system now active.

“Stand up and give it a try.” Emmy closed her laptop and glanced up at him.

The man hesitated, then stood. That awkward, foreign feeling from the metal leg disappeared completely. It almost felt like part of him now, fitting perfectly against his skin.

He took a step, then another. Everything was so smooth, not even a hint of delay. He could feel the ground with each step, every movement natural.

He walked a few steps, then broke into a little jog. No more limping, no stiffness. Just pure freedom.

“This is incredible!” The man was almost shouting, jumping up and down right there. “It’s like my real leg!”

“Magic. She’s not fixing things, she’s performing miracles.”

“This girl is seriously something else.”

Everyone around them started talking at once, amazed.

A tiny smile flickered on Emmy’s pale face.

“AI prosthetics can actually think for themselves,” she explained. “They’re not just tools, they’re your partner. Set it up right, and it’ll remember how you walk. It won’t just shut off on you anymore.”

She talked him through a few emergency tricks, just in case. When everything was done, the man grabbed her hand, almost in tears.

“I can’t thank you enough, really. You saved my whole trip.”

He looked at her, searching for the right words. “Miss, is there any way I can repay you? If you hadn’t helped me, my vacation would’ve been ruined.”
