Just as Tyrone was lost in what Quintessa had just said, he suddenly felt a whack on his head.
Rubbing his head, Tyrone turned, annoyed, "Mom, what the heck?"
Mrs. York squeezed next to Tyrone and sat down, "What did Quinn say just now?"
"Mom, your son is getting closer to victory. Quinn said she thinks I'm pretty good," Tyrone replied, a smug smile on his face, his ears turning slightly red.
Mrs. York beamed with joy, "Really? That's great… Son, you've got to make your move."
Quintessa quickly added, "Strike while the iron is hot, don't you know? When I went to get that energy booster the other day, I ran into Darlene Winters at the herbalist. She was there for a check-up, and I specifically asked about her son Jonathan's situation. She said he's filming in Havenbrook and promised to bring a girlfriend home for the holidays, planning an engagement right after, and then finding a perfect date for the wedding. Darlene was showing off, and it got me so irritated. If you and Quinn make it official, I'd have her green with envy, not the other way around. Jonathan's in Havenbrook, and so is Quinn. You think he'd miss this chance?"
Tyrone shivered at the thought. Jonathan was no simple rival, giving him the chance to be alone with Quinn was just asking for trouble.
That restless old guy.
"I'll go tonight then." Tyrone immediately started packing. After a while, he turned and asked, "But Mom, what's my excuse for going?"
Mrs. York gave him a look of disdain.
"Missed you, do you even need another reason?"
