Even in Darkness She Chose to Rise (Tatiana and Jasper) novel Chapter 247

**Even the Night Couldn’t Silence Her Light**
**Chapter 247: Truth and Consequences**

The phone rang incessantly, each chime echoing in the stillness of the room, stretching into an eternity before it was finally answered.

“Tatiana, guess where I am?” The voice on the other end was buoyant, almost teasing.

She braced herself, her heart racing as she forced the words out. “Where?”

“Dalliston Airport. I’m back, Tatiana.”

A rush of emotions surged through her, but she fought to maintain her composure. Her voice, however, was a fragile thread. “Okay. Let’s have dinner tonight.”

“Alright. I’ll head home first.”

As the call ended, she released a shaky breath, her hands clenched into tight fists at her sides. Thoughts whirled chaotically in her mind. Another child… I had another child! The realization struck her like a bolt of lightning, illuminating the dark corners of her heart.

Meanwhile, Chandler stepped out of the airport, the chill of the evening air hitting him as he slid into the waiting car. He closed his eyes, attempting to steal a moment of peace amidst the storm brewing inside him.

But the tranquility was short-lived. His phone vibrated insistently in his pocket. Assuming it was Tatiana again, he opened it, only to find a name that sent a chill down his spine. His expression hardened, and he swiftly hung up.

Yet the caller was relentless, the phone buzzing repeatedly.

With an edge of irritation, he answered. “I told you, don’t contact me.”

“Chandler, you have to help me!” The urgency in her voice cut through his annoyance.

“I have nothing to help you with.” His voice was cold, a protective wall against the chaos she represented.

The woman’s tone shifted, becoming sharp and menacing. “You won’t help me? Fine, then I’ll tell Jasper the truth! You don’t want her to leave you, do you?”

Chandler felt his throat constrict, his grip on the phone tightening until his knuckles turned white. “You’d better keep your mouth shut. If this gets out, do you think you’ll come out unscathed?”

Bianca’s voice dripped with desperation. “I have nothing left to lose! I don’t care! But you do! You don’t want to lose her! Hahaha! Once Jasper knows those are his children, he will never let go!”

The weight of her words pressed down on him, and he found himself caving in. “What do you want?”

“Five million! Clean funds, transferred to my account within five days.”

“That’s impossible. That’s an outrageous amount. I don’t have that kind of money.”

“That’s your problem. I just want the money. Don’t worry; once I get it, I’ll leave Hindersville. No one will know the secret. I’m giving you five days. Don’t keep me waiting.”

The line went dead, leaving a heavy silence in its wake.
