Even in Darkness She Chose to Rise (Tatiana and Jasper) novel Chapter 250

**TITLE: Even the Night Couldn’t Silence Her Light**
**Chapter 250: Taken**

Jasper wrestled with the storm of emotions churning inside him as he guided her to a hotel, a sanctuary where she could recuperate. She was heavily intoxicated, and the thought of leaving her to roam aimlessly filled him with dread.

As she lay sprawled on the plush bed, her gaze fixated on the ceiling, a void of thought reflected in her eyes.

He knelt beside her, careful to wrap the blanket snugly around her shoulders, and murmured softly, “Get some rest. When you wake up, you’ll feel better.”

Just as he began to rise, he felt a gentle tug at the hem of his shirt that halted him in his tracks. His heart raced, a jolt of anxiety coursing through him. He turned slowly, his voice strained with concern. “What is it?”

“Just… don’t go yet, okay?” she pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper.

“Tatiana, do you know who I am?” he asked, searching her eyes for clarity.

“Yasper,” she replied, her tone laced with a hint of vulnerability.

The corners of his eyes grew moist, a wave of emotion crashing over him. “You want me to stay?”

After a prolonged silence, her voice emerged from beneath the covers, muffled yet resolute. “Mm. Not… not to do anything. Just… don’t leave. Please?”

“Okay. I won’t leave,” he assured her, his heart swelling with a mix of relief and affection.

He stepped back, settling himself beside the bed, dimming the lights to create a soothing ambiance. “You rest. I’ll keep watch over you. I promise I won’t do anything.”

“Do you promise?” she asked, her voice tinged with a childlike hopefulness.

“Yes, I promise,” he affirmed, feeling a strange sense of responsibility wash over him.

She shouldn’t have placed her trust in him, yet as exhaustion enveloped her, her body began to relax, surrendering to the fatigue that had taken hold. Gradually, her eyelids fluttered shut, and her breathing deepened, a rhythmic lullaby that filled the silence of the room.

Only after her breaths became steady and even did Jasper allow himself to shed the mask of calm he had been wearing. The raw possessiveness in his gaze was palpable as he watched her, a woman he had yearned for, now entirely vulnerable and open before him. She was heartbroken, yet she had asked him to remain.

He let out a strained whisper, “Tatiana, you’ll be the death of me.”

When Tatiana finally stirred awake, a sharp throb in her head felt like a relentless drumbeat, as if she had been trampled by a herd of wild horses. Fragments of the previous night flickered back to her consciousness, and as the reality of her actions settled in, her complexion paled. She threw the covers aside, her heart racing as she looked down.

A wave of relief washed over her; her clothes were intact, and her body felt normal.

A soft, teasing chuckle broke the tension beside her. “Scared now?”

She turned, her movements stiff, and met Jasper’s amused gaze. Heat rushed to her cheeks. “Uh, I…”
