With a fevered intensity, she raised the dinner knife, her expression a disturbing blend of obsession and madness. The glint of the blade reflected the dim light, creating a chilling aura around her.

The men surrounding her were unfazed, their beliefs solidified in the dark environment they inhabited. This was not a place for the faint-hearted.

Many of the hunters in this grim establishment had… peculiar pastimes. Whatever transpired on this floor would be swept under the rug, hidden from the world outside.

Here, the darkest corners of human malice were unleashed without restraint.

“Tsk. It’s no surprise she’s drenched in blood,” one of the men sneered, a twisted grin spreading across his face.

“Fine. He’s all yours,” another replied, a hint of amusement in his tone.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Tatiana surged forward, plunging the knife deep into the man’s thigh.

A wretched howl escaped his lips, a sound imbued with agony.

Blood gushed from the wound, painting the floor in crimson.

The men recoiled, instinctively backing away. “Take your time!” they called out, their voices laced with a mix of excitement and fear as they dispersed into the shadows.

As the last of them vanished, Caitlyn exhaled deeply, relief washing over her. “Quick! We need to move!” she urged, her voice a whisper of urgency.

Tatiana, still shaken, muttered a quick apology. She yanked the knife free, grimacing at the sight of the bloodied wound, and hastily wrapped a strip of cloth around it to stem the flow.

Caitlyn had already spotted the wall sconce, her fingers deftly twisting it. With a low groan, the pristine white wall split open, revealing a dark, yawning passage that seemed to beckon them into its depths.

“Move!” Caitlyn commanded, her eyes darting nervously.

“Okay,” Tatiana replied, determination flickering in her voice.

But just as she was about to follow Caitlyn into the darkness, a hand clamped down violently around her ankle, nearly sending her crashing to the floor.

“You can’t leave!” the man rasped, his voice a chilling whisper filled with desperation.

He was a wretched sight, hanging on by a thread, his face contorted with a malevolence that often accompanied the brink of death.

“Die with me!” he screamed, his words an echo of his own despair.

Caitlyn turned sharply, her expression freezing into a mask of resolve. She made no move to assist, her eyes devoid of pity.

This was a familiar scene to her.

After enduring the horrors of this hellish existence, many souls lost their moral compass entirely.

The man before them was a prime example of that descent. He had accepted his fate and, in his twisted mind, he wanted to drag others down with him.

His laughter, a mad cacophony, erupted as he coughed violently, blood spewing forth. His grip on Tatiana’s ankle tightened, a desperate plea for companionship in his final moments.

He opened his mouth, preparing to scream, to summon the others back to him.

Before he could unleash his cry, a crumpled piece of bloody curtain was shoved into his mouth, silencing him. An agonizing pain shot through his arm as a sharp object pierced through, forcing him to relinquish his hold. His scream was muffled by the fabric, a futile sound swallowed by the darkness.

Tatiana’s expression remained resolute. She cast aside the malice in his eyes and turned away, following Caitlyn into the abyss.

The man could only watch in despair as they slipped away, his face shifting from a vicious curse to a silent plea. But kindness was a luxury he would not receive.

His strength waned, breaths becoming shallow as he watched the wall slide shut, returning to its pristine state.
